I noticed in one of the screenshot a naked woman. What game is that from? I know Daggerfall had nudity in it, but still.
Just curious.
I think Daggerfall - Elder Scrolls
It is actually an elven girl, a Nymph to my precise that casts magic spells and is in touch with mother nature o.O
wildweasel wrote:Godzilla, fixed the first post of the thread for you, because not everyone on the forum is using the SubDark theme, and yellow text is just about unreadable for anybody on the Brown or SubSilver themes.
I didn't think of that, nice thinking ww, glad to see i'm looked after here. 8-)

I"ll give it a try. I hope you mean the version of Skulltag that came out not that long ago.
Is there a newer one?

Also, whoa, Going to enjoy playing through this.
Also, I feel like I'm in a time paradox. I swore I saw that post you made before today...The one where you told me about the Nymph.

I swear you told me that before...<starts playing the X-files theme>

We've only tested it and played through it using Skulltag (since we enjoy our Coop!) So to my knowledge, this may not work on GZDoom, but i'm yet to try it, they are both similar script wise. Yeah, that version of ST is the one i'm using.

Really ? I only created this post today ;)

Okay then, I must have been mistaken.

Looks fun, and don't worry, I like using Skulltag.

Edit: Okay, I just started playing this. This mod is totally awesome!
The monsters fit in so far.
Had a monster drop the vampiric drain rune, which was cool.
It's really great. I'll drop by with more thoughts later. I'll be too busy playing this awesome thing!

Wait, hold on here.
The game keeps glitching on me. First it randomly starts playing the figher's grunting noise when I swing any weapon. This occures randomly, and doesn't stop even if you load a save game from before. Regardless of it being Timon's Axe or the gauntlets. The weird thing, is that it won't do this for the longest time, and then it will start up. Also, it's only after it happens that the "A name" thing happens. Are the two connected?
The grunt that happens when you try to open a wall, or fall down a slight distance. Which is annoying.

Then it crashes on several maps, stating "A name was expected but something else was given."
Perhaps I somehow messed it up? I'll see if my copy of Skulltag didn't get up to date.
No, it's up to date as of Skulltag 98b. Unless there's a later version that's not beta. This was the one that was updated in March. Is there a more recent version? Because something got messed up.
I'm also using Hexen 1.1

Oh, a Possible bug. The light ball monsters will slay you at full health. "Player was blinded by the light." You must have copied them over from AEOD without adjusting the damage. Because they spawn in the place of monsters that can never even come close to killing you in one hit. Heck, I don't think there's a boss in the game that can kill you in one hit.
Oh, and there were three of them in one area. On the Seven Portals right before you enter the Guardian of the Ice for the second time. Which like the Guardian of Steel in my last game, is now giving me the "A name was expected by something else was given.". Make that four. In positions no one can reach before they kill you.
This is on the forth difficulty, but still, they spawn way too common to do instant kills.

Fortunately, I turned on God Mode earlier. I test it both on God and off God Mode. But yeah, full health and 15 armor, and they kill you instantly.

.
Thanks for the feedback, i'll look into all of these things right away!

Right the Fighter pain sound has been fixed, it appears the guy who was working on the new classes made a modification to the Fighter fixed that.

Your correct, that light elemental was straight from AEoD, apart from it's attack sprites.

Code: Select all

	  NULL A 0 A_CustomRailgun(random(50,150),0,none,"FF FF FF",1,5)
	  NULL A 0 A_CustomRailgun(0,0,none,"Yellow",1,5)
Powerful indeed  I've subtracted the power those bolts of lightning did. Same with the Shambler actually.

Also, those enemies will nolonger appear as much!

I have not encounterd any of those other things with this mod, however i've had those on HeXen whilst playing coop, something about passing through too many portals "EXPECTED A NAME BUT GOT SOMETHING ELSE". but something would differ each time, KobKev suggested I add an intermission screen between each one and it doesn't "jam up" the game. I may also need to make enemie corpses disolve out after awhile.
I'm playing through right now to test I'll get back to you shortly hopefully with patch or solution. - GZ

EDIT:

http://forum.zdoom.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=25073

found solution sort of. I'll do this now!

Glad to know you can fix it.
And that's it wasn't all my fault. :)

I never ran into that expected Name error before playing your mod to be honest.
Not to mention, it completely stops you from saving in that zone.
Literally, if it lets you enter, every save game will error out with that message in that zone. :(

And passing through too many portals? How does one play Hexen then, if you can't go through many portals. :)
I'll try it wit Deathkings, it might not go crazy.

Good news I removed the duplicates and the unneeded classes, and I can go in and out portals without any problems, doesn't glitch out online either! I'll upload patch tomorow :3: thanks alot for imforming me about this though!

Don't count on a lot happening, as I think the author(s?) aren't going to be around much.

Godzilla is mostly active. I don't know how active. But he fixes bugs when he hears about them. See above posts. :)
So, I would say that Godzilla will be working on it for quite some time. I hope so anyway.
