To be fair, when in possession of a nuclear BFG, a monster with tonnes of health and firepower is necessary - particularly when there's Duke3D bosses and stuff around making like difficult in the first place. One hyperboss in amongst the superbosses actually made it easier. And amusing :P

From what I remember, the biggest objection at the time was "OMG it is teh sexist WAD".

Well, the porn it had was indeed quite pointless and really had no reason to be there. I don't know about particularly or pointedly sexist (beyond the usual for gamer culture), but still utterly pointless.

I'd mostly agree that NeoDoom was good on the whole, however. The levels were quite solid and had a good diversity of theme and design. As I recall particularly, the music NeoDoom used was original, created expressly for it, and was very well done. True enough that the weapons could have used some work... and I remember the pick-up items needing a little work too as there were a few that basically did the same thing as each other. The Vixens were never a problem, though. Big and tough, sure, but you were always adequately supplied to take them out.

I deleted this file intentionally. Just wait for the next release!

Sorry, pal, the ZDoom Forums are not a democracy. You don't get to vote here, you have no rights. Now please get out and stop fanning the flames.

@Zippy: I rather enjoyed the weapon variety, and you are right in general about the other qualities of the WAD (at least as I perceived them). The inventory items did cause a few issues as I remember it (crashes come to mind), and I honestly can't remember if those were fixed or not, but overall it was all good for me.

Just because you can say something, it doesn't mean that you have to. If you are going to say something, you don't have to be rude or insulting about it. You don't like NeoDoom, fine. Saying == shit is not the best way to do it.

IMO, you're trolling anyway. It looks very much like you signed up to do no more than make (almost) pointless, inflammatory posts.

That, and "FREEDOM OF SPEECH", are the two things morons say when they don't understand how Life Really Works(tm). A forum community is not a democracy, a modding community is not a democracy, and you do not have inalienable rights to spouting your opinions on a private server.

If you think that anything not oldschool is shit, get the fuck out of these forums. ZDoom is all about newschool modding.

Democracy doesn't mean that you can do whathever you want or say anything without care. You can say what you want, but will listen to what you do not want. I won't lose my time anymore discussing with people that lacks for maturity.

Btw, I'm glad to read your comments, they're very honest and serious. I hope to avoid the mentioned problems found in NeoDoom on this new wad, trying to find the best way. Thanks a lot!

This was actually a very fun level to play. Think I'll give some input.

-Although a really cool feature, the gun-stealing zombies have potential to get really annoying, but I liked how they didn't all do that. I'd recommend not having all zombies steal weapons, or have the ones that do, not do it so aggressively.

-Upon cheating and seeing all the weapons I noticed a few clashing styles, such as model rips mixed with traditional sprites and side-view and centred weapons, kind, I dunno not good to do.

-The level design was over-all good. I liked it, but I did notice a secret that had nothing in it, maybe I missed something.

-Although it's nice to see my name in the credits I didn't see any graphics that I made in it. I have been improperly credited for making some of the new zombie/marine weapons in past though.
Xim,
You're the graphic editing master!!! I saw some of your recent works such as Xim-Marine, very very good!!! Also, we need a Zombie carrying the BFG, I'm trying to make one...
Btw, very thanks for the tip. I'll take a look at your shotgun, just searching for the mod you did it. Thanks!
Well thanks, I'm glad you like them :D . The shotgun I edited is at the Realm667 Armoury, it's pretty much the Duke 64 shotgun but darkened a bit and with a brown pump. I'm probably not that great at editing weapons and such though, so you'll probably find something better to use then.

If you're having trouble making a BFG-Zombie, then I might be willing to make one. Zombies are fun to make. :P

But yeah, keep this up. A tip I'll give is to just avoid style clashing for graphics in general. Consistency is key in a pretty looking wad.

Alright, Xim. Thanks for the tips. I agree with you, the stealing zombie cannot be put everywhere. Maybe in this level, because the one weapon disponible is the pistol. When DoomGuy gets another weapons, the stolen pistol won't even be noticed.

Btw, you know, I'm a shame in weapon graphics... I tried to get some that weren't ripped too many times, and yes, there are some that came from MDL sprites, so it doesn't look very well with the other guns. I didn't find the Duke64 shotgun, and I hope it would have enough reloading frames to replace this shotgun. Btw, this shotgun also replaces the super shotgun in gameplay :)

A secret with nothing inside??? I'll take a look...

About the BFG Zombie, here is something I've done last week. Type "summon Morgan" to see the zombie hehe!

Heh, not a bad looking zombie actually. Looking into the WAD I see my name improperly credited again. This page should have all the proper credits for most of the marine-guns out there.

Anyways, here's the Duke 64 shotgun, and my edit for it. The hands were added by TheDarkArchon, btw.
