The texture is SUPPORT2 that is not there.

If you play with the High res textures pack then the Texture isn't missing

Yes, but not everyone plays with the high res textures pack, do they? I know I don't, and I certainly don't plan on starting. Not even for Brutal Doom.

Well, the Minigun's alt-fire is no longer akin to wrestling a greased pig, but it's become slightly harder to maintain stability while firing the Assault Rifle. Not sure which way I liked better. :\

Could you use the same particle effect of the rocket trails as the one for bullet impacts aswell? Cos the sprites look kinda ugly

-Supershotgun transition sprites are not the same

He did mention the shotgun hands are in the process of being revamped, Neccronixis.

Editing TEXTURE2 inside terrain.wad within the PK3 with SLADE to remove the patch that is making SUPPORT2 show up black makes it show normally again.

Could you please upload the fixed terrain.wad for those who aren't familiar with working around the guts of .pk3 files, or for those who just can't run SLADE for some odd reason?

Brutal Doom V0.17Test1 *fixed*. Now compatible with any Doom IWAD, along with the fixed textures.

Hm, quick opinion on the twitchy death thing:

I can sort of see how it work work for the zombies, but for the Imps it looks kind of... weird. Maybe having them just drop to their knees without a head, followed by a few spurts of blood before they fall over?

It seems a bit -too- common (had four going at once...) and the amount of blood that spawns is a bit over the top too. I mean I know some people want to shoot an Imp and instantly have the entire room coated in blood decals, but what about the less blood-lusty players who don't? Brutality doesn't always have to mean tons of gore, just something that makes an impact when it comes to player feedback. :p

Just a thought, I know you can't please everyone and I'm not asking you to. I think it could just be reworked a little bit.

Speaking of deaths, I think I said this before and I'll say it again...

Please restore the original deaths for the Chaingunner, Hellknight & Baron of Hell, Arachnotron, Cacodemon, and especially the Archvile (maybe you could remove the horns as well).

Can I just request that the "chicken-death" be an optional addon? Because I honestly do not like it, it just looks... weird.

Maybe the "twitchy headless death" could be 1 in 7 or 1 in 10 chance? Honestly it doesn't bother me since I'm moving around too much to notice.

I just find it incredibly distracting. It's like being torn out of the world of Doom for a Happy Tree Friends moment, it... conflicts with the setting and the overall tone for me.


EDIT: Found another bug, when curb stomping a downed former human you can still move around while the animation plays.

With the SSG and shotgun sound taken back to .14 its not quite as powerful sounding as .v16. Oh well :)
