This is a really great improvement! It's much closer to being the FOV of an average Doom weapon and your choice of handing is very good. I've tried to touch it up a little bit so it looks more Doom-y:
Spoiler: With dithering
Spoiler: Without dithering
My process for "Doomifying" a weapon isn't nearly as educated and refined as, say, TorridGristle's or Minigunner's, but my tips are basically, ever so slightly pillowshade the shape of the weapon and some select pieces of it. Then, I like to smudge around some of the coarser black outlines I've created so it fades into the rest of the gun more seamlessly. It doesn't come out looking super spiffy but It's great for a quick fix in my opinion.

Also, gradient maps and palette maps are extremely useful for Doom sprites. When I select wood parts of a gun, I up the brightness and contrast and apply a gradient map I've made myself that covers all of Doom's average brown/flesh range -> black. Applying that to a model rip's wood parts with free select is an absolute blessing. I personally use GIMP so I am not sure if these tools are named the very same in .NET or Photoshop but I'm 100% sure they have equivalents.

Everything looks fine but shell case, tho!

EDIT:

Yeah, if you still want that shell case attached, front or rear sight must be removed or relocated since they're useless because that shell case blocking them all.

Nothing. It's that Eriance's weapons are too high-quality for a shitty project like Freedoom.
I get the project is improving, but they should use different sprites regardless.

Other frames of this probably wont look nearly as good as this idle frame does.

Also trying to make a better looking head because this one's a little too cartoony.

Better, use the dodge tool a bit on the right side of the shell carrier, as well as the shells, gotta match those shadows with the ones on the rest of the gun.

That's all the more reason why you should ask first, or just not use his stuff.
