Seems there's a 404 at the moment. Any other way to toy with this?
Eh. Went and figured out how to compile it. So far seems to work best with attenuated lights, otherwise instead of highlighting/shadowing it just lights whatever part of the model is sticking into the light.

Could you reupload the build please? Also, any idea when this will be added to the master dev builds?

Here's an educational video on what directional lighting can do for map visuals in GZDoom.
Very heavily WIP, everything about this is WIP, I won't be putting out builds... dpJudas is still trying to figure this whole thing out, all the little details. No ETA, When It's Done(tm) etc etc
(the branch is called sunlighttest if you want to build it yourself)

That is very impressive! The film grain effect is tanking the video quality due to youtube's compression though

As a courtesy I did a special devbuild with the updated branch. I merged in the master branch before compiling. So this should be the most up to date build possible (as of this post):
Thank you very much, and holy crap this is so cool! I made another demo using Moon Hunters, Waterlabs GZD, and DarkDoomZ

Well, this isn't really WIP since it's something I worked on two years ago for a while before dropping it, but I remembered it and decided to showcase it a little - high quality sounds for Strife with some DECORATE stuff in there as well to make it a little bit more meaningful:
Skip to 5:00 if you want to see it in action, before that it's in a controlled environment. I showed most of the things the mod has to offer in its current state except various ambient sounds many static objects make (torches, lamps, cryo pods, corpses) and variable ammo pick up noises. And well, yeah, many of the sounds come from things like Half-Life 2 or New Vegas, so I don't think it would be wise to release it for download, anyway.

My only complaint is misuse of the word "remaster". (Since that requires, well, a master.)

Eh, why not? You put actual effort into it, people might like to use it, etc. etc.

What should we call it instead? Overhaul? Re-Tuned(scuse me for made up word)?

With new music, this mod looks really fabulous. And i have to say, I've heard those sound effects very often. Especially Half-life one. And it would be nice to hear the sound effects, remixed. If you know what i mean.
Well, just like this! And i don't know where did i find this old crap, but you get the point!

A very ugly hack that breaks demos and multiplayer.

A hack so gross it can't be used in a real project, yet I can't help but gaze upon it, hands-on-chin, like a smitten cheerleader.

Been making a faint effort at productivity, by playing around with Blender and modelling this low poly PlayStation-looking man.
