FYI, Winter's Fury seems broken in recent GZDoom SVN builds. You spawn with the correct pistol, and it can fire, but as soon as you press a weapon-switch button the gun becomes completely unresponsive, and it becomes impossible to bring up any other weapon.

Downgrading back to GZDoom 1.7 fixed it. I tucked the 1.7 exe in the WF zip file for future use.

Sorry for the bump, but when I try to load this with GZDoom, I get a Very Fatal Error (GZDoom crashes without any warning). Anything to remedy this? And yes, I have the latest version of GZDoom (1.7.01).

Go for the SVN build of GZDoom instead.

I am (and was) using the latest the lastest SVN of GZDoom. In fact, the problem was what originally caused me to roll back the the original version, and now it seems upgrading to the latest SVN literally does nothing to fix the problem.

It loads fine for me with the latest SVN build (r1528). No crashes. Though it did crash on me using 1.7.01 (r1526).

That's odd, I'm using that version and it still crashes on me.

Is this working with Sarge's Ketchup mod?

So, anything yet to fix this Very Fatal Error? I just downloaded the latest version (r1535; uploaded on March 2nd) and it it still crashes. Here's the error:

Code: Select all

Code: 0000005 (Access Violation - tried to read address 00000000)
Address: 00000000
Flags: 00000000

Try reporting the issue here. When you get the crash, save it on your hard disk and upload it alongside the report. Also, when doing so, don't forget to mention your system specs.

Heh heh ... Pyroscourge

So here I am to try the final version and on the first level, while battling back and forth, up and down the elevator next to the one with the blue door, one Demon got stuck in it with this result:

Eveything worked fine, including the elevator, after I shot the demon out of the way BUT the textures were gone. I know I will find some "shitty" things like that again while playing through. Do you wish me to shut up :-)
Still awesome ...
