Finished with the Blink. Now I gotta do the rest of the sprite work, HUD work and a bunch of other stuff. This is gonna take a while but I'm quite determined to finish it someday.

Oh, forgot to mention that there's also a Bend Time but it's kinda experimental. So far I've also changed the weapon switch time.

holy shit. I want to make some maps for that. (can you blink to locations by looking at a 3D floor? like if you aim under it you'll appear under it and not the real roof?)

Hmm, I'm not sure. Can you provide me with some maps to test with? I don't really know how to make 3D floors yet.

EDIT: Tested with a wad I found that has 3D floors. It generally works with the exception of the floor orb which passes through the 3D floor and hits the actual one. It's no big deal, though, as everything else works. I can blink on top of the 3D floor or under it.

yep it's a pretty obscure FPS (if we are talking about Angst Rahz revenge) and also veeery bad!
for some kind of reason it inspired me many times to try making a remake... i don't know what it is! maybe the epic 80's music?

WELL, working on something else. Again. This time it's a project for Heretic, and this is what I have so far:

As the Youtube description states, I plan to make this into a full level replacement WAD, which shouldn't be too bad if I keep the maps small, in a style similar to Scythe. I also plan to include new enemies (Hopefully. Rotations are a PAIN!), weapons, and items. I want to create a Heretic map set that is actually challenging, as the most common thing about Heretic I hear is that it is too easy. As you can see, I am using textures from the Baker's Legacy pack, as well as some of my own custom resources.

The character I have in mind will be more of a melee oriented character, but some of the weapons will still fire projectiles. It will use either heavily edited Hexen Fighter or Cleric sprites, in order to make them fully armored.

Note that the weapon is not quite finished, as I still need to add in sound variations, a hit puff, add more range, and I also want to create a swipe effect. Possibly even have it fire out projectiles! You won't get it so early either, but I just added it there in the map for testing and preview purposes.

As for music, I aim to mostly use SNES and Genesis music, with some MP3s thrown in, depending on the map. I think it gives the overall experience a more retro feel.

Nice little crumbs, perhaps rotate them at some arbitrarily random angles, and do remove the green blood splat.

And please do add some crunchy cereal crumbling sound effects as well, that would be tremendously tasty.
