Software becoming more and more intelligent and powerful. How long before we hear Hardware say "Et tu, Software?" and find the former lying on the ground with 15 md3 knives in its back?

Re: The New What Did You Last Do Thread
Aren't programmers already doing that? Though to be fair, software still needs SOME hardware to survive, so I imagine it would take over hardware that makes hardware and becomes self replicating.

Re: The New What Did You Last Do Thread
You could replace most of a modern computer with parts made from FPGA based hardware, which would let you have software to run the hardware to run other software.
With a comp like that you could actually download more ram.

I used to find a lack of dynamic lights in my life, but then I discovered Signal Flares! Light up that dull party, wedding, funeral or divorce with FIVE exciting colors!*
*not compatible with Zandronum or your local police department.
Was thinking of starting up a little weapons/class mod in my spare time. Settled on the title "Disposable Heroes". Turns out someone beat me to it. Dammit T_T
Would have been near perfect too.
Scouring my rock and metal playlist for suitable replacement title....

Re: The New What Did You Last Do Thread
Do any of you above play MechWarrior: Online? I keep playing for a few months, and then going "oh, right, nothing changed" and then not playing for almost a year. Then I go back on, have fun for a few months, and burn out again. lol

http://i.imgur.com/w8doV8D.png (not embedded on purpose) Vectorized Strogg emblem. Made this a few minutes ago randomly. Thought I'd share, since there's hardly a quality emblem around. All are ~200x200px. Pfft.
BTW, since the logo's black, don't expect to see much in imgur's normal view. That's why I've directly linked to the picture. Size is 2018x1110.
