The KDiZD super shotgun is slower than the Doom 2 one, and I wonder why. It does make the game more challenging and the gun more balanced in respect with the shotgun. And more importantly: you cannot stunlock Hell Warriors with it. If you used the Doom 2 SSG, the gun would have refired immediately after they lowered their shields, sending them again into shield-state. The KDiZD SSG adds a delay that gives them time to fire their own projectiles at you.

I think you should a new Super Shotgun that has the same speed as the original SSG since I never liked the first one.

The KDiZD SSG more reminds of a sawed-off shotgun than the normal Doom 2 version. That's not a bad thing, on the contrary, I think it's pretty damn neat.

Yeah, the KDIZD SSG bugged the hell out of me because of that. Although it was 4-5 tics slower than Doom 2's but it still was a big difference in-game.

How about keep the reloading slow, but make it possible to just shoot one barrel so you can shoot two little guys in a pinch?

That would make it even more annoying than KDIZD's.

Yes, I like having single-barrel modes. Although there needs to be a notable delay between each shot, or else it'll obsolete the regular SG even more than usual.

Instead of a giant minotaur with a rocket launcher for an arm; it's a giant rocket launcher with a minotaur for an arm.
