that scope is way too long i thought it was a barrel, is it intentional or actually it is a...barrel? also nice lens, btw.

EDIT: a magazine or bolt on the one of the sides would be work perfectly.

A side-mounted mag like the Bombenschuss from Wolfenstein: The Old Blood, or Metro Last Light's "Valve" rifle, and a side-mounting scope.

Make version with the doom 1 flash instead and make a non firing and bolt pull animation

Lower the muzzle flash a lot. It currently looks like it is coming from the gap between the scope and the barrel.
