Deteriorating mental health. I have been rather scarce from here lately, and almost everywhere else as well.
I have a friend who successfully claimed disability for some of the same reasons (on top of autism-spectrum, etc.) and I like my odds, for the fact that I both see a therapist, and have actually been to a hospital for suicide threats.
I was in a really low point in March...

Was just thinking about you the other day, PDF. Sorry for how things have been. My wife's got Major Depressive Disorder and we're uninsured; so I know how rough it can get.
Spending time planning and preparing the Xenomia booth for San Japan. It's gonna be a heck of a thing. Never ran a con booth before, but my brother's done loads of trade shows so we should be good there.
yeah, hoping you get things worked out for you too, PDF. you're a cool dude (or should i say, cool fox), and i've always found you to be a interesting person. (by the way, i probably should commission you at some time, just because)
Lets talk about Mighty No. 9. Huh. Every time I try to talk about it I just lose interest. Anyways, I was interested in the character of Dr. William White. Or Rather, the alternate character interpertation of him.
Spoiler: Warning, Spoilers for Mighty No 9:
White's an Ambiguously Evil Mad Scientist who wants to prove that he can give Robots emotions and free will, even though that's a really bad idea as Dr Blackwell, his own father, explains in the ending. TV Tropes's WMG even says some of the things he does are troubling, i.e: playing favourites with his creations, and he apparently abandoned RAY and Blackwell. Basicly, the only thing he seems to care about is his resarch, even if it's pointless at best and destructive at worst, i.e: Trinity. He seems like a potential tragedy character. I can see it now:
The Basic Plot:
In a world where robots exist with humans, one Dr. William White decided to make robots with emotions. It's a mad idea, but White is mad and persistent, creating Robots with useless functions at best and destructive tendencies at worst. The inevitable happens, and White can't do anything about it, since all the non-destructive robots are useless. White dies along with most of the city.
And to end it on a silly note, how the hell did Blackwell treat White so badly, he decided to abandon him? Blackwell must've met Johnny Walker Red...
Yesterday: Windows 10 disliked me for switching an wallpaper with another one but it handled lots of memory, but when I pressed shut down, it said that its memory overloaded. It reset and then I had to shut it down again... without a hitch.
Today: Euro Truck Simulator 2 hated me again. It froze but I hear sound. So I went control alt delete and killed it. SCS Software should fix those glitches.
I wonder what to do next. Really, I'm pretty much out of Ideas for a mod. RD is just... no. Looking at it makes me sick. The one I showcased in the WIP-Thread: All the maps have been lost because Dropbox corrupted the files, and I only have older backups that miss most of them. I thought DB could handle a 10MB file, but nope. Many, many hours were lost. It seems like I've wasted so much effort to make Doom-Mods, I kinda can't get myself to do another one.
Guess I'm gonna go grind up in TF2 so I can get a cool red ribbon.
Also, I take back what I said about the homebrew Xbox port of Q3A running fine - I can look past the inability to render certain shaders (incl. cubemaps), but any more than two (count 'em) bots and the game hitches and stutters so badly it's basically unplayable. Even the Dreamcast version could handle 3 bots. And the PS2 version could handle 5. I go to all that trouble of modding in a set of SP tiers comprised of DC/PS2 maps to give the system a bit of breathing room and it still chokes if you try and get any semblance of a decent FFA going. Disappointed, considering the OGX has around twice the grunt of the PS2 in pretty much every department.
