Re: The WIP Thread
that text needs to be bigger. it's way too small to read as it is.

Using "scale text in high res" completely screw up everything, guess I'll use CONFONT instead.Viscra Maelstrom wrote:that text needs to be bigger. it's way too small to read as it is.

You are becoming way too dependent upon Psychic.

Re: The WIP Thread
The only material from Psychic in here is some of the HUD elements and the base font. The rest is from DoomRPG (the fragtrak), Xaser's Necrodome mod (the enemy killcounters), and some other source for the LED font. The rank icons are from a third party resource, and the prestige icons are from the Doom 3 BFG achievements.undead003 wrote:You are becoming way too dependent upon Psychic.
So, not really. There's little from psychic in this mod, and most of it could be replaced easily.

Re: The WIP Thread
The LED font is from Eternal Doom.
Addendum: I had gotten on you about this before myself, and I think you should actually try to make your own resources entirely. If you have bits and bobs from one or two games, you kind of give that impression that that is the type of game you have, or are trying to copy. Try making some things of your own. And if you can't, well, learn. Anyone can.
I am also curious as to how friendly your project is to smaller resolutions, such as on older or smaller computers (like netbooks or laptops with a small resolution).

Thanks, I'll update the credit lump.Project Dark Fox wrote:The LED font is from Eternal Doom.
I'd like to, but I don't really have the time to invest into learning this. I already have some measure of competence on splicing graphics together, and while I did use the Psychic hud as a base, it's because it was relatively compact: most of the criticism about my mod was the ENORMOUS hud, so I wanted to use something that was small already.Project Dark Fox wrote:make your own stuff
I test it in 1280*720 and it looks fine. It might look weird on 800*600.Project Dark Fox wrote:I am also curious as to how friendly your project is to smaller resolutions, such as on older or smaller computers (like netbooks or laptops with a small resolution).

Re: The WIP Thread
If it looks weird at 800x600, it'd look just as weird at 1024x600 - still a very common resolution for netbooks and low-priced tablets.

I. CAN'T. WAIT.
These look perfect for playing Guncaster, Trailblazer, Project MSX, or good ol' Brutal Doom!

Re: The WIP Thread
My mod adds kill counters and ranks to all weapons, like the strange weapons in TF2. This screen tells you the current killcount, rank, and prestige level of all weapons, along with a few other labeled info tidbits.DoomKrakken wrote:

Re: The WIP Thread
Do you like FTL? Well, not really, it won't be a strategy rouge-like game, it will be more action-packed. If it ever gets released.
