I take back all my love for descent. I remember why i cheated my way through most of the game as a kid.

I'm playing on the second easiest difficulty for god's sake and the first level i die on (6) has these guys all over the place.. i just died 4 times in a row. I have been maxed out or near 200 shield all through the game up to this point.

and here I thought doom2's chaingunners were bullcrap

An apartment I had applied to has rejected my application on the grounds of "a 2012 charge of theft" that their background check turned up. That didn't sound right so I called the state and they say that the only things on my record are two speeding ticket type things. So I gotta go get a physical copy of my record for the apartments to look over. :C

On the up side I might have scored a nice (and functional) 486 tower + misc computer parts of the same age for cheap.

Descent II has no drillers. And with all the extra weapons and level features, it plays much better, too.
