The fat monster is green because it's meant to be translated easily; not because it's meant to be used as a green monster. It's to help people recolor it quickly.

Totally needs to be completely gorillified and brutalized so it can be used in a certain gorilla powered mod as a random spawn for the mancubus.

slax thats a good idea, but a better one would if it was given marine armour so youcould play as gorilla doom guy!
in any case you guys think the generic monster pack im planning is fine with just those 3 monsters or slould i toss in another one? if so by wich monster from doom should it be inspired by?

How about a Raycodemon? It'd be a gopd idea to look at the most popular monsters in realm 667, and make Ray versions of the originals.

Or what would be even better is a non-cyber giant demon, but with optional mechanical parts.
Also it's important that the monsters can be made into female versions, so that Doom's "sausage fest" problem won't spill over into the Raydoom monsters. Well, it's not really a "problem" if ya swing that way

How would you feel if all the Doom monsters were female? Gender ratio balance is an important part of game design, unless it's something like Cho Aniki Doom (which would be awesome). I realise that monsters such as the cacodemon are genderless, but what about the zombiemen? This is the future we're dealing with here, not the 18th century, surely women would be allowed jobs in millitary research centers?

Plenty of mods throw females into the former human mix. Usually with some alternate attack pattern if anything.

That's true. I guess the other main thing that could be improved (apart from the human gender ratio) is adding slightly more obviously female female barons, imps etc, and I DON'T mean H-doom style, I mean like angry dom ogress style. Like, the aunty you never liked having to visit as a kid.

The only game I can think of right now that doesn't have good gender ratio is Killing Floor, and that game kicks ass (the invisible girls look weird as hell, though. I couldn't even tell it was a woman.).
Devil May Cry has a pretty decent amount of both genders (and some that you can't even tell). It would probably be a pretty good game without a good gender balance.
Have you ever heard a girl say "I wish there were more feminine monsters in games"?
I don't like the idea of something as evil and disturbing as demons having something as angelic as breasts.

Back to spriting, I have this stimpack base someone can use if they want to put other symbols and what not on it.
