Huh, neat -- that midi music in particular is super-interesting, despite being rather un-Blood. :P

Really? How is that possible since I heard that the source code from the alpha version is hard to get is because it's cryptic or something. Does this mean we don't have to worry about the actual source release then?

Well your forgetting the fact that they originally considered this music but they never used it. Which shows for what is considered 'Blood-like' is subjective although it's understandable though that the reason they scrapped that music along some of the others is because it sounded like a typical FPS game of the time and they needed horror sounding music to uniquely stand out.

What do you mean I'm "forgetting the fact?" I'm explicitly acknowledging it.

The source files in the alpha are not cryptic, but there is a password you have to type in to access the files, "eclycer" and "jello" depending on the file you're wanting to access. The alpha's code is very primitive, and is quite different from the retail versions code (I don't actually have to see the code from the retail to know this). No, we DO have to worry about the actual source code release, still :D Also, the alpha's source doesn't have all the necessary files, but I am using the code that is there for code I've written on my own. The alpha release was probably what was sent to Monolith employees by the coder to overwrite an older version, which is most likely why files are missing (just an educated guess).

Well, it wouldn't fit retail Blood, but the alpha seemed to be going in a slightly different direction in terms of music and sounds.
If you want the midis, you can download them all here (has all midis from the alpha, beta, and retail):

Test video of a portion of the Introduction animation and map01 cutscene. Not complete here. The "hyperspace" effect doesn't have the ship at the moment. WIP.

Taking a break from HSD. This'll be a more ordinary map. Machinery themed. I expect to steal/borrow some geometry from this for HSD later on.

(Looks way better in-game ;_;)
