Settings are good. While W.F. may run only run moderately (and a little better with some GL setting tweaks), it's good to know that we can further increase performance with these new settings.

Pyroscourge wrote: Still, I really don't understand why this mod plays well on my 2GB RAM computer while on my mega-super (8 Core 16GB RAM dual SLI graphics!!!1!11 :P) computer it runs about half as well.
And that is why I keep on asking for the entire settings there are a lot more settings than just the Dynamic Lights, Shaders For Light Maps, Fog Mode or Rendering Quality and maybe individually some of them don't seem too much, all together, that's another story. In other words, we need to see the "zdoom-*.ini" file inside your GZDoom directory. If we can do a file compare with an utility like "WinMerge" http://winmerge.org/, I think we have more chances to see what is different and missing from our systems.
Otherwise this will continue like a fool's game blaming each other and only a fortunate few will play this mod.

I honestly think you're overestimating the number of people who can't run the mod at a playable framerate.

I'd just like to point out that Pyroscourge's PC, as mentioned:

- Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit Operating System
- 2GB RAM
- Intel Core Duo 2.6GHz
- NVIDIA GeForce GT 430

IS an older machine. That CPU is 6 years old (and wasn't even top-of-the-line back then), and the GT-430 is a super-lightweight budget card. Granted, only two years old, but it was a specific super-budget-priced model at the time.

Digitalfoundry went and designed a sub-£300 gaming PC - about the price of a new (at start of generation) console - that can run Crysis 2 and Battlefield 3 maxed out, which is far in excess of Pyroscourge's hardware. Check it out:

HOLY GOD DAMN. Downloading right now.

And lol, is there any way I can download the "old" version that you posted screenshots of? I noticed that it's a heavily modified version of that Bomber Invasion map! :D

By the way, since the entire base has apperantly frozen over, shouldn't the plants/vines be brown or purple instead of green? :P Since you're Aussie, I wouldn't expect you to know this. But it would make a really really nice realistic touch.

Who still uses skulltag? Didn't we all convert to zandronum already? your username fits you well. (Warning issued - don't care what their username is, an attack is still an attack. -mgmt)

Spoiler:

...
Btw this doesn't work with Zandronum either. I'm pretty sure it's only meant for GZDoom.

Hah, funny you seem to be the only person to point this out. Originally, BIMAP02 was made out of an edited version of MAP01 of this, and now the remade version of that Bomber Invasion map is taken from MAP07B. :3

About the purple/brown vegetation, I do understand that it would look more real, but to get it to look nice with every level may take an awful lot of work adapting from what I have now. Regardless, it looks nice with the Aqua colour as it blends nicely with the blues and greys. They are actually just ice sculptures with green food colouring, alright guys? :P
