Amazing revolver, Comet!
Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!

Here are some sprites for some kind of knight thing that I had gathering dust deep in my PC for about two years. Someone will probably find good use for them.
Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
whoa. that looks awesome. can I make a request? can you make the barons have a Red glow? I always liked that touch about the Doom 64 version. but overall great work. its eye candy like these that keeps me checking here on a daily basis... its like Christmas but all year round. makes me wonder what exciting stuff with the shown in the forums xDfellowzdoomer wrote:Im adding glows to everything now!

This. IMO Blox would be able to shade this up easy. I also think it needs just a little more "noise" or texture to make it look less "plasticky" or "drawn in paint" and more like a real object.Raziel236 wrote:I'd add darker shadows myself.Laggy wrote:

(darker around features and perhaps shading on the edges to give more of a spherical look.)
To me, it looks like these are a little too glowy. I would reign it back a little bit. For example, it looks like almost all of the Baron is covered in his green glow which I don't think would happen. Similarly on the weapon sprites, that chaingun in particular is way too lit up.fellowzdoomer wrote:Im adding glows to everything now!

They look like they're in a bad Quake 2 map and smelly enough to attract flies.fellowzdoomer wrote:Im adding glows to everything now!

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
I cheated with upscale/downscale so it doesn't look natural but antialiasing would help so you don't have these rough borders. The weapons in Doom don't have many jagged shapes.Laggy wrote:

To avoid confusion, I'm not using antialiasing to describe an outer edge with transparent pixels, but rather the more general and overall useful definition in which intermediate colours are used to smooth and approximate edges.

Also, stronger directional lighting would help. Doom's weapons sometimes even clip to black because of the lighting.
Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
Ill get those requests filled out! With the original hell knight I used or with the actual doom 64 one?
Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
Thanks for your suggestions, guys! I'll keep them in mind!
Mind if I use your version, torridGristle?
