Yeah, figured something like that must've happened. And the fact my post got to page 12 supports that...

Can moderators see deleted posts or the different versions of a post through edits? Just curious.

If you can think of some crazy mapping task to give me, Deathsong, feel free to PM me or whatever. As for the City, I am in the process of retexturing it for yet ANOTHER TC. Although I think I'm bumping it's importance up over all the others, as it's the resurrection of something rather important to me. But yeah. In the end, if I'm ever able to finish it, it'll be kinda along the lines of what WWE was going to be, with the huge open areas and such. Of course, if it's still going to have areas like that, then yeah. That comment doesn't make sense. But still. It'll be different enough, though. I'm thinking of actually making rips of Morrowind weapons to through in, as they have the spiffy first person view and all, and lotsa lotsa swords. Which I'm gonna need. A lot.

But yeah.

It was the fantasy element that I had to ditch from WWE to make it work, really. It was originially a horror mod, and the name indicates it. Now it is a horror mod again. As "Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth" proved, linearness is leathal to scariness. You have to give the player this interesting world to explore, and fill it full of horrible secrects for the player to uncover. As for this fantasy project, a lot of the ideas I scrapped could easily be ported, and I'd like to work on a project of that type, so let me know. I really don't want to see my eccentric cast of gods go to waste.

Not a problem. Most of it's already been planned out through a semi-novelized version of the story, but there's still plenty of room for other stuff.

Progress Report: Everything I missed when ripping Blood last time has been gotten. I've picked up a few Exhumed textures and sprites, but I didn't like the way most of it's weapons and all of it's enemies looked.

That aside, what do ya'll think of a sanity system? I think I can do it, with a little help from Solar, but I'm worried it might make an already difficult game unplayable.

YAY! PARTY AT MY PLACE! :D
The 986 line long HIRESTEX lump is done, and it works! Now I can start re-decorating all of the actors and maybe make a little test map, so I don't keep my reputation as a vapor-spewing windbag.

Hmmm, I think I really should try to salvage mine while I'm at it.

Psh, that's nothing. Out of all the communities I've been involved with, I've never released one damn thing. And that's been for years. It's amazing. It's like, whenever I start something, I never finish it. And then I start something completely different.

I find it worse when you release something, and it turns out to have something bad enough about it to warrant a changer and rerelease (damn oversized teleportation...).

Nonsense. You deserve proper credit for Scourge, and that one map shouldn't be a reason to feel bad about it. It wasn't a good idea and it backfired, but all it means is that you can treat the first release as a public beta and just go with the flow.
