Heh, I'm not all that thrilled with them either. I haven't emptied my inbox over at Doomworld in years. I have just over a thousand messages in it.Unknown_Assassin wrote:Not for Graf. He hates PM's.Ichor wrote:PMs are fine if it's between two people,
Important announcement regarding my involvement with ZDoom

Re: Important announcement regarding my involvement with ZDoom
I think that a split could be a good thing for development, albeit sad for us end users and community members. While I've only been an 'active' member of the community for 2 or 3 weeks, I can see that the ZDoom project profits greatly from two (and more) developpers cooperating and contributing ideas. However, given the topics discussed in this forum, we'll just have to see how things play out.
I agree 100% with Graf and Randy's thoughts on a developpers forum; it should remain hidden to the public. It shouldn't necessarily be just for Graf and Randy however, and I think that having trusted and competant members having the ability to post would be an asset.
I also would like to continue the sentiment of thanks to Randy and Graf. Without either of you, ZDoom would not be nearly as good as it is today (or in Randy's case, probably not exist at all).
I'm too lazy to scroll back and find that post about us being customers, but to whoever said that: You, sir, need to change your views dramatically.
So thanks again to Randy and Graf, I hope your views and opinions can be resolved with each other, and that you will continue to work together to better the ZDoom port. And in the case that you don't: I understand, and judging by most of the posts here, so does 99% of everyone else.
Cheers, and a belated Merry Christmas to all!

And people seem to have missed randy's actual response, only a couple pages ago..+:icytux:+. wrote:hmm, iv just read like, the first 5 pages of this discussion.

Re: Important announcement regarding my involvement with ZDoom
I think this thread should be retired. The matter has been resolved and in the end something good came out of it (the hidden developer forum.)
That doesn't change a thing about my time schedule, unfortunately. I haven't done any real work since a week before Christmas, only fixing a handful of bugs that were important to me and porting some code I have written weeks ago back to ZDoom.
