The projectiles can be voxels, but not the weapon itself.
Also bear in mind voxels are a recent thing, so might not be Zandronum-supported.

Voxels work in zandro 3.0

I suggest to still have sprites, in case someone wants to disable voxels.

Okay, sounds reasonable! Mostly wanted to use it for ejecting shells since voxels can naturally rotate.

Made pretty significant progress on my map since my post the other day, I've got basically the whole thing laid out! I am excited to start detailing it.

I ought to figure out an altfire for this thing. What do you guys think about a burst ray and a charged plasma shot?

Making good progress on the base sprite for my weapon! Now for manual clean up, followed by breaking the weapon up to be animated.

I know I'm sorta late to the party, but I was wondering if people are still allowed to join Dump 3? I just saw the video Term uploaded on it and it seems like the kick in the butt I needed to try something new.
If I'm not too late I'd love to try and put together a map.

Spoiler:
My map is 100% laid out now, complete with a boss fight arena kind of thing at the end! I tried to use zero scripting whatsoever in making the map, which made creating the boss fight kind of hard, but through use of walk-over triggers I think I managed a good compromise. As you can see on the left hand side, I have a couple teleport-based monster closets. I took the Serious Sam approach with them and made it pretty obvious when there's gonna be a monster ambush. There are no custom assets aside from the music, which I'm fine with. I tried to keep it as vanilla as possible.

Map takes about 7-ish minutes to complete if you don't have always-sprint on, which I think is a pretty fair amount of time for a level with no backtracking involved. Overall, creating it so far has taken 9 hours, or 3-ish days of on and off work (I skimmed over the timeline in the OP and accidentally started early, whoops!). Time for the decorating phase!
