Heretic 2 for ZDoom mod (Abandoned? Going to doom universe)

Projects that have specifically been abandoned or considered "dead" get moved here, so people will quit bumping them. If your project has wound up here and it should not be, contact a moderator to have it moved back to the land of the living.

Why dont you just leave it at "Heretic 2: zdoom" ? Somehow the word remake, makes me think that, well, there has been another heretic 2 for zdoom, and that you are remaking it.

You know theres an 'Edit' button, you don't have to double post.

Also if your gonna make a remake, atleast make it BETTER than the original, advance on where the other one fell flat, and i'm not for one miniute saying that the Doom engine graphics has anything to do with me basing it.

From your screenshot, the doomguy's hand and a cacodemon fireball... doesn't exactly seem Heretic 2 to me. Are you staying true to heretic 2 in terms of plot? Or making it how it should have been, new story in fps format etc..

I will replace them with Corvus sprites, it's just while I make the Decorate, then I will put corvus sprites.
Same story.
But weapons first.

Update 1 I have added the player sprites but they are small, so I'll fix 'em later.

Did you use the Scale property on the player actor? How did you get him so small? :shock:

Doesn't seem like that would be accidental... :?

I don't know what it is.

Is what better at tps? And what is tps?
Perhaps you could temporarily release a public alpha so that people could help with that player sprite issue.

Please don't tell me that you've replaced the weapon sprites with player sprites. The chasecam is there for a reason.

what do you mean, 'You've added player sprites' thats just Corvus, already in Heretic. :shock: You mean, your making it into a 3rd person WAD?

It looks very perspective-incorrect actually... Use a chasecam script if you want third-person displays.

Oh, and don't forget that monsters (like that imp in the featured screenshot) will go for the camera, not the guy. It would require so many hacks to get working that it's just feasable to use a chasecam script.

Well, what about some cool camera angles and stuff, don't think 'WeaPlayer' or Chasecamming would do it correctly.
