Re: [Textures] Gothictex redux
Wow, has it really been over 5 years since I started this thread?
Anyway, I've replaced all the broken imageshack links in the OP with working imgur ones, and also added a couple of new ones that I made for a thread over at Doomworld (update 6).
I may finally get around to actually putting these in a texture .wad soon, too.

@Nightmare
Why don't you try to post all images inside an imgur album? It's pretty easier even for users than for admins. Anyway those textures are always brimmifully for goth places.

Re: [Textures] Gothictex redux
I've added some recolours and a dark metal set to the first post.
I still haven't gotten around to creating an account there, but will sort an album out once I have!Ozymandias81 wrote:@Nightmare

Re: [Textures] Gothictex redux
If I'm not wrong you don't have to mandatory create an account for imgur: just set your stuff an place them inline, then copypaste the resulting ALBUM url.
[EDIT]: For example, take a look to what I've done for Blade Of Agony.
[RE-EDIT]: I don't have any imgur profiles.

More goodies!
Re: [Textures] Gothictex redux
Here's a prelimary texture .wad. It's still missing flats and a few things from the first post, but there's also some stuff in it that's not in the first post.

Hi Nightmare,
just to fast a bit your work I've converted ALL textures from your wad into PNG Doom Paletted ones, then PNGOUT'd 'em.
Now the wad is 1,50mb instead of 4mb. Anyway, this stuff looks great, would you mind to post 'em inside Realm667 TX repo forums?

Re: [Textures] Gothictex redux
I've updated the .wad with some improvements to the METM and SUPV sets (also fixed SUPG and SUPV being the wrong way around!) and a new set, WOODT.
The only problem with that is it breaks computability with vanilla and any port which doesn't support pngs, as well as level editors which don't support them (which would include the one I use myself!). All my texture work is done in png format, so I can easily do a pk3 version for ZDoom users.Ozymandias81 wrote:Hi Nightmare,

I'm not quite finished yet (there's at least one more set I want to do) but I'll post there when it's done.Anyway, this stuff looks great, would you mind to post 'em inside Realm667 TX repo forums?

Re: [Textures] Gothictex redux
Yummy gotha stuff!
I wonder, could you do some vertical-line versions of above textures? They would be great for slopes.
[EDIT]: I know, with UDMF maps we can rotate any tx, but my suggestions makes your Redux more redux IMHO.

Another set, this time based on Ola Bjorling's metal textures that are in both Gothic DM 2 and the Darkening E1:

. I'll give some a go once I'm finished with everything else.

Presumably you mean diagonal-line versions, as there already are vertical-line versionsOzymandias81 wrote:I wonder, could you do some vertical-line versions of above textures? They would be great for slopes.
