So, I like it. How about the rest of you?
Spoiler: Episode 1, for those curious

Re: Official My Little Pony thread
It's pretty interesting to see this community so galvanized and split on the subject. I've got to wonder if you guys hate it simply because so many other people like it, or because of its surface appearance.

Thinking the same thing... >_<Xaser wrote:I wonder if there's a phpbb addon that allows you to "ignore" threads. >_<
Re: Official My Little Pony thread
Well seeing as this is a forum dedicated to a FPS, I guess most of us prefer stuff like this over this. I'm of course not saying you are an idiot if you like fluttershy or whatever it's called, but ....... eh.Trance wrote:I've got to wonder if you guys hate it simply because so many other people like it, or because of its surface appearance.

Sorry, I was wondering if a whole thread was actually a bit too far...BlazingPhoenix wrote:Thinking the same thing... >_<Xaser wrote:I wonder if there's a phpbb addon that allows you to "ignore" threads. >_<

Personally, I think it's better this way. You MLP fans can talk about what you like, and we non-fans can just not bother reading the thread. Matter of fact, I'm gonna stay out myself - I trust someone will use the moderator report button if there's an actual emergency.

Re: Official My Little Pony thread
For the record, let me explain myself about why I will never be watching or maintaining any interest in MLP.
I have the attention span of a gnat. It's near impossible to get me to sit down and watch a movie, let alone a TV show, for more than five minutes unless I've got something I can do while I'm watching it. In that respect, I tend not to set aside any time to watch anything, since I'd rather be writing, modding, playing games, chatting on IRC, generally actually doing things.
Since I rarely watch movies, I've amassed quite a backlog of movies I feel I should watch and never have set aside the time to do so. Stuff like The Godfather, Fargo, Memento. Adding more to the backlog, especially not something that obviously isn't targeted at a 24-year-old male whose principle interests are Doom, Jethro Tull, and writing science fiction. At this point I really don't even care how funny or awesome the series is, or how good the animation is, or how the characters actually have some form of development - I really have no interest in adding to my backlog.
I shall now bow out of this thread. Again, if you actually need me here to dissolve a nasty situation, there's the moderator report button for that. =P

I watched the first episode. The animation is nice and it's a good kid's show but not really anything more.
