Update! Now the demon and chaingunguy are replaced, the holy water is more powerful and doesn't hurt you, and the axe is now always thrown at the correct angle.

Updated, It is now for heretic, and heretic only. You now stop when you use vampire killer, like in the actual games. No Heretic inventory items have been replaced yet.

It has been updated again, now there are torches, some custom enemies,new sounds, and some new whip behavior.

I love castlevania, if I can find the time, I would offer to produce some sprite art to this project (with your permission of course). I actually have a 90% finished sprite sheet of a Warg, I could offer you. I would be able to finished it off in a short amount of time.

Moreover, I made 8 different zombies. They all have the revenant's head, but with different color clothes. 4 male, 4 female. I would need to touch them up though, they were an earlier work of mine. I need to get rid of those ugly black lines on the boarders of the sprites.

This would be... really useful. Although the zombie's clothes are a bit too bright.
If you could do this, that would be great.
EDIT: The sprite that is actually on the top of my priority list right now is a new whip, but I'll be grateful for anything.

I could mess around with the clothes with gimp2 making them darker. I would also make a better looking color gradient for them, now that I have a better understanding of the software, than I did back then.

Thank you! The only things I really dislike about this project are the sprites, especially the whip.(It is actually ripped from a castlevania game)

If I didn't have so much work lined-up, I'd offer to produce a whip as well. But who knows, maybe in the future I could help out with that. But at this point I'm totally strapped for time. After I update my Aliens, and Terminator projects, I will start work on those sprite for you. But like I said, it might be a week or two from now, depending on how much I accomplish. Nevertheless, the sprites I have are almost done, therefore it will be a quick process when I get around to it.

I think blood is cool. But if you are going for a certain interpretation, stick with that.

Yeah, I was going for the feel of the first 4 games.
EDIT: And vampire killer, although I won't be using any of that games mechanics.

I had an Idea. I could make a Hexen version where you get permanent upgrades, and get to have all the subweapons at once, kind of like simon's quest.
