As we get closer to v1.0, here's another subweapon you guys get to look forward to

the boomerang lacks range but it shreds monsters if you distance yourself just right. This particular boomerang behaves like Castlevania’s cross, as in it returns, but it doesn’t home in the thrower for the return flight, meaning players can snipe monsters with a backwards flying boomerang if they wanted to, you also get a fair chunk of arcane energy (power sword ammo) for catching the boomerang as it comes back.

This particular boomerang breaks upon impact with walls, don't worry though, like all other subweapons it runs off sword rage, so you have a limitless supply.Captain J wrote:i wonder this boomerang got ricochet and returns when it hit the wall.
as for remarks regarding the sprite, yeah, I'm waiting on my friend to make me some new sprites, but I was having too much fun with the boomerang, I had to share it.

Doesn't look that bad now either tbh.

Well it looks a little odd how it's an upright sprite rotating. Don't worry though, I'll have it fixed hopefully today, if I do, I'll be sure to share it with you guys.LostSkull wrote:Doesn't look that bad now either tbh.
V1.0's just about ready, I just gotta implement two more spells, fix the boomerang sprite, add the torch subweapon, and add a unique smashable container for spells.

I had a thought earlier today. Some chests in Ghouls n' Ghosts/Goblins has this magician that can transform you into various, not so good, forms.
Would be neat if the code from Heretic that transforms you into a chicken would be implemented along with a magician in a chest. But that's just me

If I wanted to be a real asshole I'd make the chests have a small chance of spawning an archvile. But really the magician thing was the most agitating thing about the GnG Series to me, and it probably won't be finding its way into GMOTA.LostSkull wrote:I had a thought earlier today. Okay I think my friend got the boomerang looking pretty good, what do you guys think?

He was probably referring to the old sprite I was using and how it was completely vertical, as you can see, with the help of my buddy, that issue has been addressed.TheMightyHeracross wrote:Uh...Valherran wrote:That boomerang needs work...

now that's the outta the SNES themed style, otherwise it's remind me a donkey kong country. without that, it's good idea.
