If you have a copy of hotwax's hatearena.wad around you should take a look at it.

Simply give the monsters a tag when spawned, that is possible with some of the arguments and make a looping script for the hate action, thats all about it

Yes, but how do I give the monster a tag when I'm spawnning with the console? O_oTormentor667 wrote:Simply give the monsters a tag when spawned, that is possible with some of the arguments and make a looping script for the hate action, thats all about it

Not sure if it can be done with the console; i think only with spawnspots and ACS...

I believe hotwax did it with "Actor enters sector" actors marked "deaf" (makes it effect monsters).Eriance wrote:Yes, but how do I give the monster a tag when I'm spawnning with the console? SO IT BEGINS
Hotwax uploaded it to the forums I think. Do a search for it and it might turn up, otherwise I can upload it for you some time.

A search for HotWax's posts with "hatearena" and "Hate Arena" drew a blank.

The finished Wiked looks superb. Definitely one of the best IMO.

Re: Demon Eclipse (WIP) - Wicked Monster Up! (p.85)
Can we possibly get a custom HUD included with DE3? Every now and then I want to play something without the bare-bones - and resultingly boring - GZHUD and be able to get a complete ammo display and kill/item/secret count [or at least ammo display], plus I'd like to have a dark, gothic-hellish ensemble lining the bottom of the screen anyway, because neither Z/GZHUD or the normal, light grey Doom HUD help immersion in massive black and red Hell levels. It'll probably be important for one to be able to see all of their assorted keys and Unmaker pieces too, right?
Re: Demon Eclipse (WIP) - Wicked Monster Up! (p.85)
@Black Rabbite: Z/GZdoom Huds do allow you to see every weapon, key, ammo, armor, and inventory item you have already when you zoom out pass the classic hud and use the new ones.
So far, I dont see a need for a custom hud that wold only take up more room that what's needed to show the level. I originaly drew out a very simple hud that blocks the least amount of room possible, but refrained from using it since it stll took up more screen-space than the simple G/Zdoom simple number and key display.
The original DE Hud was 2 circles to the side of the screen that displayed HP and Armor in one, and Ammo in the other. Around each circle are a ring with 6 small lights that lit up as you picked up 1/12 keys. Unmaker pieces were originall lined ontop of these two circles (3 on each side). Episode 4 mission items will take the same place as the unmaker pieces. The original plan was to use the same template but change the theme as you progressed through each episode, having a total of 3 (Ep1 and 4 using the same one). But I scrapped that idea since it took up unnecessary time. Right now, even if I would impliment that, it's a very low priority.

Sounds like a neat idea though. Could you even have a hud for different episodes?
