Re: Custom Texture Thread.
Those are some pretty neat textures, more than I can do from scratch.
Here's the inside of a refrigerator, sort of high res, and digitized. like the other textures I posted. This texture is a composite.

nice work. I hope you can artistically doom-zie 'em if that's possible.abbuw wrote:Those are some pretty neat textures, more than I can do from scratch.

I would, but I'm not good enough to do that. Here are some more textures, digitized of course. Sizes are a little inconsistent, though.Captain J wrote:nice work. I hope you can artistically doom-zie 'em if that's possible.

Some stone block textures I made from Hexen stuff (among other things)

Re: Custom Texture Thread.
Some digitized bricks. The second texture is my first attempt at a high res digitized texture.

You sure? That's very recognizably from a lift texture in Hacx.zrrion the insect wrote:From Scratch.

Very similar, certainly, but I don't know if it's actually based on it...NeuralStunner wrote:You sure? That's very recognizably from a lift texture in Hacx.

I did attempt to make something similar to hacx, but I started with a blank image when I made it.

Re: Custom Texture Thread.
Well, you did succeed in making it eerily similar, which is why I was confused.zrrion the insect wrote:I did attempt to make something similar to hacx, but I started with a blank image when I made it.

This is why it's a good idea to mention your inspirations/sources to begin with. "From scratch" can be a bit misleading, and we can be a bit on-edge because of things like this.
... On the other hand, I wasn't really paying much attention to who I was questioning.

Yeah, I see what you're saying. I'll edit mine some more and see if I can't make it a bit more unique.

It's not that I mind the similarity, in fact I really like the recreation. Just wasn't so obviously a recreation at first without the note "this is a recreation".zrrion the insect wrote:Yeah, I see what you're saying. I'll edit mine some more and see if I can't make it a bit more unique.

Anyway you don't have to edit it up on my account.
