Just out of curiosity:

1.) Will mods like "Hard Doom" Conflict with this?
2.) Do those 'coins' disappear after a set amount of time if not picked up?

coins disappear after about 5-10 seconds, I didn't time it.

And anything that replaces monsters/weapons has to be loaded first.

Coins disappear after a set amount of time, yes. Honestly, the coin collecting aspect of Psychic really changes the gameplay and player behaviour drastically. I often do things that would be suicidal or would never consider as a result, such as rushing towards dead monsters even if they were in a huge crowd or pool of slime.

Yeah, the fact that coins dissapear adds to the gameplay. Do I run into the room full of monsters to get the coins? Or do I clear the room first but lose out on some money?

I prefer to get a bigger gun or use a more powerful attack to ensure I get em all the first time!

About replacing the monsters.. Is it a good idea to actually do that with Psychic?

Like let's say I load up Hard Doom and Psychic, would the monsters be replaced and if so would they drop coins? Or does that pertain only to the monsters that come with Psychic?

I would imagine that it wouldn't work at all.

Either way though, I'm sure Psychic is going to be super awesome as is. But it still is a good idea to know about that ahead of time as some wads out there have their own monsters and such that replace defaults. Like uh.. NDCP2.

Right. I don't think it will work at all. Fortunately you can still get blood money from weapon and ammo pickups. Weapons because you only ever need one, and ammo because you always have infinite ammunition.

That's one of the unfortunate drawbacks -- custom monsters won't drop money, and this can't be changed unless someone does it manually. Though I'm planning on eventually releasing a series of patches that makes the mod compatible with a few popular sets of monsters (i.e. the MRW monsters for the ZDCMP, one for KDiZD, etc). It's a relatively simple matter to make enemies drop coins. The only trick is figuring out how much to give, but worst case scenario is they give too much. Either that or nothing. ;)

Also it's still Monday. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN

Ok, so I'm five levels in Doom 2 and this is pretty amazingly awesome already.

I haven't even been able to get the powers I want to yet, or move to something along the lines of.. Plutonia or another harder Doom mod.
