sorry for OT but that just gave me a brilliant idea: High-Definition Widescreen Pong, now with higher resolution textures.

I just wonder what Nash's up to!

Yeah, kill the thread with pointless posts. Always the best solution :I

I've been playing Diablo 2 and even contemplating World of Warcraft... :/

I just can't be bothered to do any modding for the time being. I've been busy with my job, whenever I get back home I just want to kick back and play some quick games before going to bed. I have absolutely no mood to create anything because I've had enough of computers at work.

Stick with Diablo 2 and wait for 3 to come out!

like the night/day thing.
Footsteps would be cool.

if it is for Gzdoom, you can put models in the game. (Even hudmodels if you wish)
which would make the game seem almost lifelike.

Support the if coop player dies, turns into a zombie, and is forced to watch through the eyes of a zombie attacking the player before he, she is revived.
The player is revived upon the death of that zombie. This would prevent suicidal attacks. if all the players are dead, then they respawn in their hideout, or a temporary 'safe' area.
Just an idea...

Score deductions for teamKilling, or killing friendly NPCs.
Yeah...the safe area was good point. The place can also look like safe.Or can the "safe-area" be your home? :)

I dunno. Right now, Nash is playin' other games. I wonder if Diablo 3 is gonna be in 3D... That'd be cool. The old interface got kinda boring after a while; that's my main problem w/rpgs.

On my way back from the gym today, I visited some malls and I was heavily inspired to map again.

But unfortunately I still haven't figured out how to get DoomBuilder to run on Vista cleanly without that crappy explorer.exe hack.

And I still haven't gotten around to trying DoomBuilderX...

@Nash: Say no more!
There is a downloadable installer of a few .dlls that I got from the Microsoft site (I think). It might be called "msvbvm50.dll.EXE." Install its files to your C:\Windows\System folder and also into your DB directory. Then, go ahead and do the compatibility stuff to the Doom Builder executable (run in compatibility mode for WinXP SP.2) You might also want to click "disable visual themes." This disables the Vista-style windows while running Doom Builder, but it might help.
Good luck.
There's actually 2 good PCs at my house. Even though DB runs on Vista, I prefer to use it on my XP machine (in Vista, DB can glitch out, crash, and you can even lose saved settings in the program - wad locations, key configurations, test engine locations, etc.). It's just too much hassle for me...

I've always loved the idea of a sandbox-style mod. I'm looking foward to the finished product.

I've been getting some PMs asking about the status of this mod. I'll just paste my response here...
Well, I haven't been working on any of my Doom projects for quite a while because I have a lot of issues in real-life and it hasn't been making me feel creative... I just haven't had the mood to sit in front of the computer and do any game modding.

I still plan to finish RotD but it'll probably take a while. I might have to go back to the drawing board and redesign it so that it actually has a chance of completion. I'd rather have it completed than making it so ambitious and then nothing gets done...

So to answer your question, basically, no I haven't been working on the game (or anything Doom related for that matter). But I'm definitely not cancelling anything.

I hope to get my creative vibe (and free time) back soon...

@Nash: Y'know what you should do? Play some music in the background (on your computer), while doin' your modding work. That's what I do; it makes it a lot more enjoyable.
