Back in the day my brothers and I would play like real 8 year old space heroes and run under him when he jumped.

Someday I might go into that level with a crapload of Raygun shots and take him down that way. (According to Keen Wiki it takes 105, but it is possible. Obviously I'd need plenty of extras for when he inevitably jumps over shots.)

Making the plot more [censored word] than Modern Warfare 2 would've been an achievement in bad storytelling. As in "Sonic Team at their worst would be embarresed at this tripe" bad.

I would argue Modern Warfare 2's plot was so bad that it went beyond entertainingly bad and went uncontrolably into complete trainwreck territory. Especially since the first Modern Warfare had an entertaining, if trite, plot.

Every time I watch a video like this, I find myself incapable of believing that games would do stuff like kill the player for leaving the combat zone, or prevent people from getting items because they don't have the proper DLC, heh. How much of this stuff is actually real? I haven't ever played these games.

The DLC thing is a slight exagguration: Games generally won't spawn DLC items unless you have said DLC. The combat zone thing? It's real, specifically Battlefield 3. Call of Duty prefers good old fashioned walling off.
