Even tough by Law, I am an adult, The child within still roams, and still as bright as ever.

Though mine was fairly uneventful and boring, though I like where I ended up. I figure my childhood would be more badass if I returned to it and fixed a bunch of mistakes.

Congrats.
I wish I could say the same about my childhood. But honestly, I would not trade it for anyone else's - no matter how horrible it was. It made me who I am.

Happy Birthday, Adam! I agree, Rachael. I'm 29 now, but I wouldn't change the mistakes I made because that was who I was and made me who I am now. There are a few things I cringe about, though...
I liked my childhood too, but I liked it better when I became a teen because I saw I can do a lot more stuff than when I was still a kid (I can now stay up late and beyond openly, heh). Still happy 18th birthday, you can do much more but you have to be careful now.

You're never too old to have fun, J.
Anyways, I have a Japanese Suicune with a Japanese name that translates into ... Suicune. My computer also wants to auto correct Suicune into ... Suicide ... *Roy laughs*
How many of you here had any experienced with heavy weather like tornados, or hurricanes before? Because I have experience seeing a tornado before and its not a pretty site after the damage has been done to your town or neighborhood.
Hurricane Matthew buzzed the east coast just last year. I got to ride that one out. It was pretty wild taking a walk the morning after it hit to see trees across roadways, power poles pushed over, and the lights out everywhere, except the street my house was on.
Somehow my street managed to preserve one electrical pathway from the grid, when houses out to a quarter mile in every direction got knocked offline. We kept our A/C and refrigeration, but didn't have internet for nearly a week. Better that than to have internet but no power, I guess.
yeah, it probably would've been a lot worse having to worry about your food going bad than to not be able to use the internet. ultimately, the internet's mostly a convenience of sorts, and food is a necessity.

Darn, i'm going to be 18 too.
Looks like i better be ready to become a young adult now...
All that changes is literally everything that you took for granted as a kid and didn't realize it.
Seriously, though, they really need better adult prep classes in high school. Things like helping you do your taxes, manage your bank account, apply for jobs and apartments, buying stocks, etc, so that you aren't completely winging it your first time when you actually are on your own.

I live in southern Florida. I've survived Andrew, Charlie, Isabelle, John, Jane, Robert, Wilma, Frank etc...
Charlie was the worst where I lived. We took the eye. No power for 2 weeks, ripped a huge tree right out of our back yard. The whole town was flooded, no power to any of the stop lights... and our shitty drivers didn't realize you have to treat it like a four-way stop when there's no city power. People were just going through the lights as if it was green on all four. I found my mailbox at a Walmart 5 miles away. It was pretty scary. The eye was awesome though, you could go outside for a minute and just see the sky look like the apocalypse swirling around you.
Probably one of the scariest times of my life. That gas station is like 1 mile from my house.
