GZDoom + QZDoom Old Releases
... have now been uploaded to ZDoom.org.
I tried to make this as complete as I could, but there's obviously some files missing. If you have any files, please let me know! Thank you!
https://zdoom.org/files/gzdoom
https://zdoom.org/files/qzdoom
I tried to keep things consistent. The more recent source archives came straight from Github (and I don't see any reason why not to keep those, too, so there they are).
The purpose of this is purely historical interest. They are not meant for normal day-to-day use. (It may also help some folks track down bugs, too...)
The existing ZDoom files are still there, as well.
Big thanks to jengelh (aka Hirogen2) who maintained a Sourceforge repository that I nabbed from for a few of the files, and to NeoHippo and Graf Zahl who contributed the bulk of the rest.

Re: GZDoom + QZDoom Old Releases
I used to keep any and all ZDoom and GZDoom releases, but I lost a bunch in a HD crash a few years back. I've just had a look in an old storage directory and found the following GZDoom files:
gzdoom-bin-1-8-00.zip
gzdoom-bin-1-8-02.zip
gzdoom-bin-1-8-03.zip *
gzdoom-bin-1-8-04.zip
gzdoom-bin-1-8-05.zip *
gzdoom-bin-1-8-06.zip
gzdoom-bin-2-0-04.zip *
gzdoom-bin-2-0-05.zip
gzdoom-bin-2-3-1-x64.zip
I know nothing about them other than their file names really but, assuming that the names are correct, there are three there that you don't seem to have (the ones I marked with an asterisk). I don't really know why I have that odd, small collection of releases but do you want them?

Re: GZDoom + QZDoom Old Releases
Sure - they may have been releases that were pulled but I can test them before posting them. That is very helpful, Enjay, thank you!

No worries, I'll send you a pm with a link.

These would come in handy, thanks.
Could you refresh my memory? I can't remember contributing any files.Rachael wrote:Big thanks to Blue Shadow who previously contributed a bunch of files
Re: GZDoom + QZDoom Old Releases
Thanks for the old releases. I will need 1.8.6 at least so I can test if my TC will run in it correctly.
Re: GZDoom + QZDoom Old Releases
Oh - I thought it was you, I forget who it was, then. I'll have to go digging around on DRD Team to see who it was. >_>Blue Shadow wrote:These would come in handy, thanks.

It could be NeoHippo, from here.

It's updated, now.

All of them can still be downloaded from sourceforge:

Re: GZDoom + QZDoom Old Releases
Of course. This just makes it more official, but also more complete, as well. He stopped updating the archive before 1.9/2.0 came out.

Re: GZDoom + QZDoom Old Releases
Can someone explain this?
That old archive is getting more downloads than PrBoom+, if you count ZDoom and GZDoom together!
Of all the things, this I wouldn't have expected.

Re: GZDoom + QZDoom Old Releases
Is there any way to add change logs / release notes to these? I've got my DOOM launcher working with GZDoom 0.9 through to latest (all with their own config files) but I'd like some easy way to know what was added to each release for instances where I need to personalise config files for certain versions.
Re: GZDoom + QZDoom Old Releases
Outside of scanning their respective news forums for them - no. I am not willing to go through the time and effort to compile all of that - however I can tell you what forums to search along with linking their specific search tools and you can get this info yourself.

I don't know how you crafted those links, but that does indeed answer my question -- incredible work there!
