I have an idea... much like how we have weapon sets created for different prominent megawads, what if we created mapsets for existing weapon mods? Yeah, I know... completely different project, and we'd need to find mappers. The only one I know has some dedicated mapsets to it is Brutal Doom... but what if we did this for mods like Project MSX, Guncaster, and Trailblazer?

A good start would making some maps for them yourself.

Comicguy's arsenal wouldn't just be Bluto's. It'd be more like this:

Slot 1: Bare hands (because brass knuckles are for wusses) and... okay, the chainsaw would still be swung horizontally like that other mod. But whenever you do you get distracted by the strangely specific faces the zombies have and think "are these supposed to be based on real people, and if so who"
Slot 2: That machine gun a zombie has on the cover.
Slot 3: An inconsistently drawn shotgun that seems to have one barrel but a second appears whenever you're firing.
Slot 4: A chaingun with a strangely long and pointy barrel tip past the band (excuse me if I'm not using gun terms properly I just took a quick look at the chaingun's wiki page)
Slot 5: A weapon you could have sworn was a rocket launcher when you saw it from a distance but now that you're closer it looks more like a plasma rifle. (alternatively, that zombie on the cover had a grenade on its belt so maybe that)
Slot 6: A plasma gun that shoots what looks like a jet of flame at first but then has a hitscan attack of some kind.
And finally Slot 7, a BFG that shoots unsatisfying yellow lasers in various directions.

Now that's how you make a mod truly faithful to the comic.

Indeed the shotgun for the TNT Guy needs a more futuristic look, the spas looks kinda weird tought.

Great mod, a weapon set inspired by PSX Doom would be great!

There really isn't anything too work off of for a PSX weapon pack, considering it's literally just Doom with the Super Shotgun and spooky ambient music.

You could do more demonic (perhaps even eldritch) weapons. Look at Doom 64 and its Unmaker.

Maybe make their shapes same as vanilla, but completely, graphically different. Like PSX SSG for instance.

The PSX port is considerably "darker" than the original pc game. The new lighting, the infamous fire sky in the hell levels, horrorific ambient soundtrack, its just a different atmosphere.

PSX, not D64.
