It'll also help if you add a tag to your thread title, that way we don't have to actually open the thread and make a judgment call.

I'm really going to miss the colossal, constantly updating subforum which made almost next to impossible to find certain threads when only thing you remember is the preview thumbnail... NOT!
I just noticed the new layout, loving it!

Re: Bringing order to the Projects forum?
I will definitely take some time to sort out the remaining 2000 topics. But even if each mod takes 30 a day it should be done in a month. The only problem I see is that the ones actually belonging in that particular subforum are not immediately recognizable so a lot of work will be wasted on redundant lookups of what needs to be moved and what not. It really should have been so that the forum to be sorted needs to be cleaned out in its entirety, not leaving a significant chunk of stuff in.
Re: Bringing order to the Projects forum?
Best Least I can do is 200 a day. I have free time. Like, a lot. I'm moving even now as we speak, but I'm on phone and battery's dying so I'll continue later.
Re: Bringing order to the Projects forum?
Would anyone object if I further split the Software forum into "Source Ports" and "Utilities" and killed the stickies on most of the threads?

Re: Bringing order to the Projects forum?
Killing stickies is ok, but I don't think there's enough topics to justify further splits. Let's first see how much stuff accumulates there.
Re: Bringing order to the Projects forum?
Alright. Nothing is sticky in there anymore. If anything should go back up to being sticky, it can be reported/posted/whatevered.
... except the devbuilds because that really is a project support, rather than an actual project. So that got stickied.

Thanks for doing this. I can finally see that people indeed still make maps for ZDoom, it was too difficult previously. And thanks for not removing the thumbnails; they're fun to see lined up and work as a requirement for users to post screenshots.
Re: Bringing order to the Projects forum?
Funny you mention the thumbnails. I won't tell you what kind of trouble I had to go through to get them working on the new forums.

Finally,it's about time you guys did this, peoples were requesting this so much in the past.
I like it,now it's much more organized and i wont feel lost too much, also it will reduce the amount of time to find a specific project.

Re: Bringing order to the Projects forum?
Well, good news. We're ~1000 topics down, ~1700 left to go. All locked threads have been moved out of the temporary forum.

59 pages left when this morning it was 75. We may yet have this done long before the weekend.
[edit] Oh, and in case anybody's been looking for the Project Ideas and Mod Download Broken threads, those now live in General. I figure it'd encourage more people to use the General forum. =P

Re: Bringing order to the Projects forum?
I'll take a break now, but tomorrow after uni I'll get rid of 5 more pages or so.
Re: Bringing order to the Projects forum?
I'd like to volunteer to help move projects out of the temporary forum, to help speed things up. :D
Re: Bringing order to the Projects forum?
It might be a good idea. I've been busy and didn't have much time. Working on a project with higher priority and taking care of uni, so my time schedule's been strained lately.
