The Still New What Did You Last Do Thread
Re: The New What Did You Last Do Thread
Okay, then. Apology accepted. Begrudgingly.
I *really* think you need better champions, but you at least bothered to explain yourself and this explanation is satisfactory.

God dammit this is exactly what Shadelight and I were trying to prevent. Just leave well enough alone, please.

Re: The New What Did You Last Do Thread
Just to ask instead of creating a thread for it,
Has anybody played Aliens: Colonial Marines, for PS3? Is it a good game?
To sum it up, my only experience with Alien games is Alien Trilogy on PSX, and one friend of mine says that Aliens : CM is a total cr**, and Isolation is better.
But i bought this for like, 6 dollars.
Was he right? Did i wasted my money? From what i played so far, it uses the same commands as CoD.

$6 for Colonial Marines is just right for the game IMHO. It's not very good but it's gotten somewhat better since launch. Better AI and also some free multiplayer updates, I think?

Cool then. I haven't bought from PSN in case you wonder. I bought the game on the real box and stuff. I think it was used, but barely touched, the game is really clean.
At least they care for updates. I love Battlefield but they haven't fixed some hard stuff on 3 and 4. And buying a PS4 with Battlefield One is not on my plans right now

I got some HTML/CSS/JavaScript dirt under my fingernails again. Feels strangely good... At least I didn't have to do anything directly in PHP this time. *Shudder*

Playing Yakuza 0. This is my first Yakuza game.
Kiryu is a remarkably nice guy once you get to know him.
It makes sense he's so good at making friends, though, for one simple reason:
Nobody's stupid enough to be his enemy a second time.

Kazuma Kiryu, ass-kicking aside, is a surprisingly good role model. He's helped so many misguided businessmen, "business" men, and wannabe grifters realize the errors of their ways over the entire series that I'm shocked that no other open-world series has bothered borrowing from its playbook.Big C wrote:Playing Yakuza 0. And, as shocking as it might sound, this is true of just about every protagonist the series has had. Even Goro Majima.

Ahh, nothing like digging up zelda2.mid from NigSek: A Monster's Tail. It's deceptively named though- it sounds Celtic. Anyone have any idea where it might have come from? I recall asking Sovan Jedi back in the day and I don't think he recalls either.

Re: The New What Did You Last Do Thread
Yeah, I *WISH* more open-world protagonists had as much of a moral center as Kiryu and co. I found the main characters of GTA5 pretentiously miserable and screwed-up, and while I liked Niko Bellic, he'd be a better character in a movie than a video game---his woe-is-me attitude towards his life as a soldier in the old country fall a bit flat in the wake of his standard-for-GTA bodycount by the end of the game.
Kiryu, on the other hand, is willing to do the right thing in the face of a bitter, cynical universe, no matter how many times he has to get back up on his feet or how difficult the opposition.

Just finished Memento Mori II on UV. I enjoyed Waterway (MAP12), Deja Vu (MAP31), Io Lab (MAP24) and It (MAP30) in particular. I love how Mark Klem made a MIDI of Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy for MAP30's music. Hilarious. Epic music all the way through, Klem and Shaw killed it. Now to play the two super secret levels.
