I'm looking in the HD.pk7 file....and I don't know if i'm going blind or something, but I don't actually see SBARINFO.....

EDIT: Aaaand now, the game crashes on startup with the latest dev build.

Script error, "hd.pk7:actors/dcderp.txt" line 214:
Expected ',', got '0'.
SBARINFO is inside the doom filter now.

The crash is inconsistent so I've reported it as a ZDoom bug.

.....I'm not so certain that I like what you're doing with this IWad filtering business now.

I actually liked it better when you simply had a patch to slap in to enable Doom 1 mode.

Do hell knights ever combine throwing the skull box drones with suppressive fire? Not sure what happened but I was playing dump 3s "satan corp" and on the labs floor, I peeked a door, closed it, heard a hell knight going crazy, and when I opened it again, there was an absolutely MASSIVE swarm of skull boxes right at the door which incinerated me.

I know I've complained bitterly about them before, but I think this is warranted for once... Is there really no way to have them limit 1 box per hell knight? Because that was ridiculous. Maybe just a script for "killallchildren" or whatever the command is, briefly before tossing another? Because them summoning a wall of them is kinda dumb, and the script for not allowing it if they are close doesn't work, since if they fling it far away, the script doesn't apply.

Considering the uac mags are proprietary, and finicky, isn't it weird that stored rifles would have 50 + 1 loaded? This means that a rifle would need to use 2 magazines to do this, OR break the EULA for the rifle by loading a single round out of a PARTIAL mag, THEN a full mag. Perhaps it should have a 50 round mag, and NOT have the round chambered? This way its consistent with lore, but you can also loot a stored rifle for its fresh mag. As to why I think they aren't just STORED loaded up with normal tactical reloads?...well I'm sure before all this, rifles were maintained, and cleaned, and this cannot be done without removing the rounds from the gun.

Point taken re: ZM66.

Just a warning to everyone, don't use any GZDoom version for HD from December 8 or later. There's some new stuff they're doing with "fixing" an old, old quirk with actor pitches that has left everything inconsistent in all new and not likely permanent ways. I'm holding off updating before it becomes clear how pitch will be handled in the future.

Okay, fine. Here's an addon.

This will forcibly override the IWad filter. Useful if you use Doom_Complete. Just make sure to load it last.

I've encountered a glitch(?) on e2m7

There's a lot of frag flying around, and every monster that gets revived is an ally to me.

So we're basically marching around the level adding to our ranks.
Fun, but probably not intended.

Will post a video if asked.

hd version is 20161114 (I think)
it says date modified: 11/22/2016

What caused the frag? Did you break (shoot) the invulnerability sphere?

There's a  in the spawning vats near the barons, if I recall. One of the effects of the D1 filter is to fill it with friendly shards instead of an archangel.

Oh, so that's what happened.

I figured the invul sphere had something to do with it.

So if broken, it releases friendly frag energy? interesting.

Yes, if you're using Doom1.

If you use Doom2.wad, however, you get a friendly archvile. It's an evil one if an enemy projectile breaks it, though.

Bug! Will see if I can fix next update.

In other news, my Internet host is phasing out the free webspace I've been using for main HD updates and file storage. :( Pragmatically this is trivial - I can just put up hd.zip on Google Drive and heck maybe even put up a Facebook page as the official go-to place for HD updates (or perhaps just stop maintaining two things and use this thread exclusively). I would definitely miss being a stubborn "Web 1.0" holdout in the event of that latter option, though.

Thoughts?

Ever considered using a Github repository + Pages feature? Version control and webpage hosting all in one.

That appears to have no "holdout" appeal whatsoever, though I should probably give that much lower priority!

(I hereby propose that the verb "clintonize" now mean "irrationally stick to DIY digital information management methods in a manner that ends up being disastrously counterproductive")
