Re: [Community Project] 20 Monsters Challenge
To anyone who really wanted to participate in this project but couldn't due to lack of slots, by all means make a map anyway.
It may be accepted if we have to ax one of the slot-holders, and even if we have all the maps delivered, we could easily make an updated version with extra maps later on! Think "The Ultimate 20MCP" or something.

Re: [Community Project] 20 Monsters Challenge
I confirm what Tapwave said. In fact, I'll go update the project lead credits in the OP. BillGuy and Tapwave are co-leaders, so their word is law.
Re: [Community Project] 20 Monsters Challenge
I am almost done with my map. I am just adding a little bit more to it and then I will submit it.

I'm not making spare maps.
I'm out.
I'm out.

Suit yourself mate. Thanks for participating!

Cause i felt like being hostiled a couple of pages ago.
Re: [Community Project] 20 Monsters Challenge
Well, best I can do is say sorry. Don't take things so seriously, man. Nobody is being hostile here. If I want to offend somebody I'll make it pretty obvious.

Re: [Community Project] 20 Monsters Challenge
Can you please tell us what happened? We really have no intent to make our participants uncomfortable or anything, we just had to nudge the mappers who have not showed any activity since their slot-claiming to wake up since the deadline is approaching fast.UnTrustable wrote:Cause i felt like being hostiled a couple of pages ago.
In any case, we apologize for making you feel that way.

I think he's talking about me saying that the map's no good if it's not hellish. Page 44.

Exactly.Lud wrote:I think he's talking about me saying that the map's no good if it's not hellish. Page 44.
I mean, i was just in the very beginning of the map, and quickly as you could judge, it was not hellish enough to you.
Man, it was not even finished...

Re: [Community Project] 20 Monsters Challenge
I made a remark, dude, I didn't say "scrap your map and start over". Yes, perhaps it's my fault that I judged too sooner. I usually start from the sky to give me more ideas. Didn't really see the lava floor, either.

Lud tends to be a bit excessively blunt when he speaks, so don't take him like he's being mean. He's not that much of a dick, trust me.
Like I said, you have leeway on your map's theme, but if you're in the lower slots, you should go for something more hellish out of consistency.

Re: [Community Project] 20 Monsters Challenge
These maps are like cotton candy. Short and bloody. Any input from a different mapper will of course give a new style and perspective on the theme. Just try, this isn't really a competition. Lot's of varying skill levels. I for one entered only so I could learn and improve.
edit: Note, not all cotton candy requires blood. You know what I mean.
