In Heretic, translucent monsters remained translucent when turned into chickens. This isn't the case in ZDoom. There might be a similar thing going on in Hexen with the pigs, although I don't remember which if any Hexen enemies were translucent.
I don't think there are any fully translucent monsters in Hexen. The Bishop does a sort of sideways translucent glide, but that's about it.
However, because elements from different games can now be mixed, I assume it is possible to put a porkalator into Heretic and use it to morph translucent enemies - or to morph translucent decorate enemies, so it is still a consideration for the porkalator.

There are ghost monsters spawned during the final showdown with Korax. You can also morph the dark servant when he's being spawned, since he's translucent during the smoke sequence.Enjay wrote:I don't think there are any fully translucent monsters in Hexen. There are? Aside from the spirits that fly out of Korax's body (which I think are little more than a special effect) I don't see any actors listed using dumpclasses that are obvious candidates for being Hexen translucent enemies. Oh, and I guess it's unlikely to happen, but I'd just like to make a request for the optional reinstatement of Archvile resurrected monsters to came back translucent - as they did in earlier versions of Zdoom. I thought that was a really cool feature and I'm not aware of many people getting upset about it. So, I don't know why it was dropped.
