Re: D4D - You kidding? v2.0.3 bugfix! (11/03/16)
Downloaded it yesterday. Awesome mod. Loved what you guys did, especially with the demon runes.
Question, though: what does the "Supercharge" do other than the obvious? It looks like you gain a temporary powerup after acquiring it, with the blue lines around the screen. It even wears off after a while.

It's a Regen powerup. If you have less than 100 health, you'll regenerate 5 health per second.
Still want that Doom 3 HD texture pack, whatever it is...

Correction, less than 100 + stamina. The upgrade for health grants that.

OK, not sure if design choice or bug so I thought to report it after testing
So the "Drop items chainsaw only" doesn't effect ammo drops, just health drops. At first I thought "Oh maybe its intelligent programming giving ammo till you get a chainsaw" but after awhile I noticed that at less than 40% health wasn't dropping but ammo still was(had gotten a chainsaw by this point), if this is a design choice maybe an option to do "ammo only" "health only" "chainsaw only"

Re: D4D - You kidding? v2.0.3 bugfix! (11/03/16)
I am at Ultimate Doom II level 13, and I have not found any Quad Money yet. Where should I expect it? And is it possible to get it by chance via ordering the random UAC crate?
In the meantime, I am using this lovely Lightning Gun (only with the Coil upgrade for now) to rape everything in sight. The obilgatory explosion when the enemy becomes dead is the icing of this deliciously electrical cake
However - was the chain lightning removed? The altfire does not work. Even if that is the case, the LG is still super powerful. Not sure if overpowerful, however
So, was the Plasma Rifle buffed at all? Because I have doubts about it, and LG is still so good I am willing to put PR on the shelf completely. Oh well, it is not like the PR from Doom 4 itself was impressive at all, so I will not be bothered if it stays weak in D4D as well.

It wasn't removed, they turned it into an upgrade that you can buy.shotfan wrote:However - was the chain lightning removed? The altfire does not work.

Odd request but can someone post the D4D Guide.txt here? I don't want to redownload the mod to read it.

Ah, that's right. What I meant was "less than full".Major Cooke wrote:Correction, less than 100 + stamina. The upgrade for health grants that.

Uh... Stamina? D: Would that be overhealth, or something else?

Yeah. That's pretty much it. It boosts your maximum HP for picking up health items that would normally not heal you over 100 (medkits, pinatas, etc).
Re: D4D - You kidding? v2.0.3 bugfix! (11/03/16)
That file is from D4D 2.0.1. I assumed that newer versions contain no changes to this file, as they were bugfixes. Here you have the D4D Guide from 2.0.3 version that I downloaded just right now, if you are still interested. Sorry for the inconvenience.Rowsol wrote:edit: seems outdated.

Re: D4D - You kidding? v2.0.3 bugfix! (11/03/16)
This is a very impressive mod. I really like the use of voxel models for items! But there are a few things that could be improved to make things a bit nicer.
1) The Berserk powerup is awesome. Too awesome, in fact. Once I get one I don't have a need to use guns for the rest of that map, since I can obliterate anything that pops up with my bare hands AND get health for it! Maybe it should run on a timer like the Berserk powerup in Doom 4? That'd make it feel a bit more authentic, and more like a really nice treat.
2) Speaking of timed powerups, why not put an indicator on the HUD for active powerups and how much of their duration remains? Again, this would be a lot more like how Doom 4 handles it, and it'd help players better gauge how much time they have left with Quad Damage or the Radiation Shield.
3) When I go to make a save file, the "EN" selection on the soft keyboard is a bit, uh, glitched:
