The next update of the weapons build is ready to go, just need to finish compiling the maps. I was waiting on the finish of the hub map, which was sent to me just a couple days ago. :D

I've been terribly busy lately, but it's coming and hopefully will be another release soon.

Hey Term, this next release will be a final version or a build?. And if it is a build, will you accept updates or not?.

Term recently stated that no new weapons or maps will be accepted, but updates to them are currently still ok, so get things finished up while you can.

Not yet. That might be a long way off.

Yes

The HS 011 singlehandedly prevents me from compiling DUMP3. I have to wait for Term to not be busy anytime I need to compile it now.
I also have absolutely no idea what to do about that cvar check that'll cause desyncs either.

well why is it causing issues besides "you can't check freelook without breaking zdoom netcode"

and i seriously hope you didn't try to put all the notzwei stuff into the main dump 3 acs library, and if you did i can only assume you are a masochist

well here's what could happen, I guess

I could make a bug report/'feature' request about freelook and how it really should be a user cvar, and then I can do the GetDBEntry crap to check whether it's zandronum or zdoom

if it's zandronum or single player, use GetCVar because I know it's safe there (although I don't know how much bandwidth it'll use, never tested it online), and for zdoom and multiplayer use GetUserCVar and hope the fix gets pushed

(also i hope "I didn't put it in" doesn't mean you didn't put sword in because that would make me sad)

(also i have a feeling discord would be better for this but you aren't in my friend list)

edit: yeah i just did the request

Don't tell me you've never worked with a little IRON before!
Spoiler:
If it becomes a problem, banish/remove/impeach/delete the weapon from the pack, so as not to hold up new builds!

I don't know of any other way! Probably doesn't help that I am using a 2.8 ZDoom build. That's only because using anything newer will cause my personal use mod to randomly crash on occasion. Therefore, I am missing out on a lot of useful features (Especially "User States") and am left in the dark on more efficient ways to handle things.

Don't worry, User States are not a very new feature at all. In fact, they're very old! Please feel free to use them to your heart's content. :D

user states? as in... ones that don't have any particular meaning to zdoom?

those have been around since at least 2.3.1. where have you been?
