Ideally, yes. But again, that's ideally and it may change in the future.
What I've been doing so far, as per Shivers' suggestion, is to focus on the gameplay and the weapons first and foremost, using Doom maps as a stomping/testing ground and replacing things in there, first, and then expanding on things afterwards.

Of course, Doom levelsets were never intended to be used with a jetpack, but hey.

Time for screenshot saturday. Hope you guys don't mind a video instead of a screenshot. I'm breakin' all the rules. Ain't give a poot.



One of the most commonly-requested features during dev streams.
Since one of the things about the game is going to run around and collect uchuyen, breaking open boxes and watching them all scatter and etc, a lot of folks have raised concerns about how feasible it'd be to pick them all up.
Sometimes hitboxes are a little finnicky! Sometimes running around and picking up precise bits and bobs is a pain, and that breaks flow pretty badly. You've got all this running around and shooting dudes, then you've gotta take a break to pick up everything.

So here. Now they'll fly over to you automatically when you're within range, like Metroid Prime. Except without needing to charge up the arm-cannon.
Normally, you have to be a distance of 96 units, and they stop following and just kind of drop on the ground if you run past a certain distance. For demonstration purposes in this video, this distance is increased to 256 and doesn't stop following you.

Lol is that music something you coded into the pick up, or just a BGM you had playing during your video? Made me laugh.

Also, is that a map you are doing for the project? Or is it something I can find on idgames? Looks beautiful.

At least it doesn't explodes with shattering TONS of uchuyens. Greedy-Speedy lagfest penalty guaranteed.

Russian overkill had jetpacks, guncaster had wings, and trailblazer had dashing. (and jetpacks) so fuck the intended path, it's my way, or, hell it's my way!

At least jetpack system would be reasonable to use on only this mod's maps.
