Well that's just great. A great looking mod that's exclusive to openGL 3 GZdoom builds that don't work on my computer.

Or play it letterboxed. Doom 4 called that "cinematic" :P

Chansaw sounds: Well, I used the sounds from doom4, they're odd all around

Shotgun: Yeah, intended because of the entire "hold to ready alt fire"

Chaingun: I didnt add smoke because in general, it obstructs waaaay too much the view, no matter how translucid i made it

RL: LOL. Not *that* wide :P Sadly, making the rest of the weapon for all the sprites of the weapon is gonna be a big issue.

Pinky: As the info documentation says, pinky has a shield.

All monsters with colored blood drop also red gibblets. This is for aestetic reasons, and to make sense out of the "chainsaw only gets red stains when executing monsters"

Chainsaw alt fire will not work in bosses. Again, the documentation explains this

Wolfdude: Yes, this is because all original doom's monsters do not disappear when gibbed, otherwise the vanilla archvile would be completely useless.

Fatso poison: You mean an impact sound for the acid?

Well, I cannot even use OGL 2.0, and I can launch and play it. The only thing I am deprived of (as I am aware of for this moment) are the weapon mods. (Gauss Cannon's and Static Rifle's beams look ugly, but I can take it :) )

BTW: Static Rifle is super fun! Feels like a deluxe edition of Blaster - also unlimited ammo, only much stronger. And runs on running, which works wonders for encouraging run'n'gun gameplay! Try out Industrial Zone with SR to experience what I am talking about!

Having a strange issue with the Chaingun; if I fire it until it runs completely out of ammo (no mods), at the very end of my ammo supply, suddenly it recoils really hard and somehow keeps shooting (though with no damage?).

Arch-Vile's magic... :ugeek:
Actually, it is the forced software mode I was talking about on the last page. I discovered it thanks to some kind person from this forum whom name I cannot remember (shame on me  ).
Anyway: first, try to launch the game. Receive expected "NO OPENGL 3? WTF PLAYER!!! GTFO  " error message and close it. You should have now gzdoom.ini file created, in your directory with the GZDoom executable you just tried to run. Open it with Notepad and look for "vid_renderer" line. When set to 1 it enables OGL, screwing you over like a big dumb bouncer at the game's entry. Edit it to vid_renderer=0. This forces software mode (graphics are run directly by your video card, with OGL ignored). Try again to launch the mod. Hope this works for you

(looks like that half of ZDoom Forum gathered here... not that is a bad thing  )

Drat, forgot to read the documentation there. My bad.
DBThanatos wrote:Chaingun: I didnt add smoke because in general, it obstructs waaaay too much the view, no matter how translucid i made it
But at least you can add a little bit of smoke only at wind down sequence. Not too many, of course.
RL: LOL. Not *that* wide :P Sadly, making the rest of the weapon for all the sprites of the weapon is gonna be a big issue.
You actually don't need to make the rest for it, you can adjust its position after all! I've adjusted RLNIa0.png's offset to -207 -75 and it quite worked in all ratios. And of course i know adjusting all of the frames would be tedious. I cannot disagree with that.
Chainsaw alt fire will not work in bosses. Again, the documentation explains this
I know it really doesn't work on them, but showing the message that i don't have ammo even though i have plenty of them looks awkward and incorrect to explain why it doesn't work on the bosses.
Fatso poison: You mean an impact sound for the acid?
I mean the custom impact sound effect for poison(not acid, sorry for my ignorance) projectile. Splatting sound with sizzling from any other games would be fitting.

Very good mod.

I'm not sure if its a bug or not, but the voxel display option doesn't seem to save after you quit GZDoom.

... It didn't. But both times I ran it I got this message:
Script error, "D4D.pk3:decorate/miscitems.aed" line 31:
Invalid state parameter {

I think the main problem is with these "aed" files.
