Recording demos with GZDoom
Recording demos with GZDoom
Is there a good way to record demos with GZDoom so there are minimal compatibility issues? I've never been able to just regularly record GZDoom directly without either obscene framerate drops or the output video looking like hot garbage, so I wanted to use demos instead.
Re: Recording demos with GZDoom
A lil' bump for the discussion's sake...
I have the XSplit Broadcaster software which I've used briefly.
The performance is halved when broadcasting to Twitch but when using it to just record a video it's seemed to be pretty solid. My rig is pretty old - LGA775 socket (~2009) quad-core at 2.8 GHz.
I would recommend XSplit if you're in need of a 3rd party software - my experience with it is pretty good.
As for [G]ZDoom playback-demos, I would really like for its demo-compatibility to stabilize but it doesn't seem like a probability just quite yet.
