Any tips are apprecieted. :)

If I recall correctly, Fragport should include later maps with city theme.
A very belated thank you.

if you're still interested, Doom 2 Reloaded has some really cool base and city levels in the first two thirds of the mod; after that there's a third of IMO much weaker hell levels. it's probably the best one that comes to mind when i think of good Doom cities.

i think Hellbound and Hellcore 2.0 also has some really neat-looking city stuff, but the gameplay isn't the best. neither is Doom 2 Reloaded honestly, but i think that one's more pleasant to play through as a whole. you might not wanna UV it though.

Sure. But considering how much of a media blitz the mod's gotten, I feel like this thread would be better off looking at stuff that hasn't already been covered everywhere else.

But you just said it is hard to miss it. Now you admit actualy it is possible new to doom people will not know the mod.

Does anyone know of a VHS filter effect mod (or maybe a mod with a vhs filter effect in it) similar to the one featured in this thread (http://forum.zdoom.org/viewtopic.php?t=49483&p=871950)? I know of this one (http://forum.zdoom.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=49784), but I'm looking for something more similar to the one in the first link.

hey, i dont know if what im looking for actually exists but just incase it does... basically i really like all the detailed gore and effects and stuff that brutal doom adds but i dont like a lot of the gameplay changes such as the rolling and especially the executions and was wondering if there was a mod that just made old school doom all around more sexy, maybe enhances the AI a little bit to increase the pace but without going as overboard as BD, im familiar with smooth doom and some others and although theyre good mods they arent exactly what im looking for, thanks in advance!

You could try Project Brutality. It's Brutal Doom but with cleaned up code and some other changes. There is a setting called "Traditional" that you can pick which cuts out all the reloading and monster abilities. Here's the ModDB page. Read the features list :)

Are there any melee-based mods? I already know about TSP, Demonstelle and GMOTA, but are there any others?
