Those teal greens are unusual in a Doom palette, look pretty good.

I think the gray borders around the floor ought to have a small height difference with the teal tiles -- even if just one or two units -- to look better.

Totally agreed, I'll forward that comment :)

The palette is completely custom. While everything is made for software mode, I plan to add some bonus GL content like brightmaps.

Unless they've been modded, [wiki=Classes:ZXmasTree]they only have a Burn death[/wiki]. Drop by the bell tower in Map01 and punch the trees for an while. They won't budge.

As far as the map in question, the only one I remember with trees that have to be burned (Locus Requiescat) uses a different, completely indestructible tree. The "burning" is an entirely scripted effect.

Thumbs up from me!

Okay. Maybe there are trees that have only burn deaths, I didn't check. Either way, I know this is a non-issue because I played through Hexen and Deathkings with a mod that completely lacks the means to cause burn deaths (read: Necrodoom) and was able to complete both regardless. Thanks for the heads-up though!

i've still yet to complete Hexen over here. i just got fed up by all its bullshit convoluted-ness whenever i played it. the farthest i got was hub 4 before i got stuck again, and i'd been stuck on the 2nd hub for ages. i really want to like the game, but it and everything inspired by it like Herian 2 and Daedalus just fucking pisses me off at some point.

Ermahgerd! This is perhaps the best remake of Metal out there. Permission to use it for any future projects? (Though knowing myself, 99% of them will not see the light of day.)

Sure thing! I might upload it on youtube with a slightly more polished mix at some point with a DL. In that case you can look it up :)
