Love this stuff, mostly what I listen to at work these days.
I actually found this genre through the True Survivor song that came out for Kung Fury.
Also the Hotline Miami OST is the best, without it I would not have discovered Carpenter Brut.
Probably my favourite from Carpenter Brut
Recent music video that's cool too

@Turbo Killer: Can I please have more movies and music videos with those kinds of sick visuals?
EDIT: I'm gonna contribute to the topic with another video. Not sure who's heard of Kn1ght in this topic but they do good work, too.

May these guide you well the next time you find yourself doing cocaine in the back seat of a speeding Testarossa in the midst of a neon fever dream.

Huh? Why are you asking me? I'm not sure what answer I'd have to offer. I mean, I might not even know what synthwave is.Freaklore1 wrote:So what about You WildWeasel,do you like this kind of music ?

Hehe, there will be more where that came fromNevander wrote:If you haven't played it yet, check out Violence. Great set of maps with amazing synth (darksynth?) music.

Anyways, hi, darksynth enthusiast here. This is the genre I listen to about 95% of the time, heh. Here are some of my personal favourites artists in the scene. Wall of youtube videos incoming!
If you've heard of the genre before, you probably know who Perturbator is. Dangerous Days in particular is an absolute masterclass of darksynth, with the titular final track being an epic journey and my current all-time favourite track. His latest album, The Uncanny Valley, is out in a little under two weeks. I'm very excited.
Carpenter Brut is another fairly well-known synthwave artist. Trilogy is a rollercoaster of kicking tracks and varied sounds from start to finish. Standout tracks include Le Perv, Run, Sally, Run! and Turbo Killer.
Want your synths harsh and loud? GosT is about as close to "synth-metal" as you can get. He's also got a new album coming soon.
Dan Terminus is an interesting one. Every album he has done has had a radically different sound and mood to it, which is very cool. The Wrath of Code is currently my all-time favourite album, by the way. Every track is unique and never gets old.
Maybe you want your synths mixed in with a feeling of exploring the farthest reaches of outer space. Dynatron will be right up your alley.
I'm not super familiar with Daniel Deluxe, but his recent album Corruptor is pretty rad and I recommend checking it out.
Right, that's all for now! More later, possibly.

When i listen to synthwave music i always separate them in 2 types depending on what im doing during the day.
When im going for a walk or in a car,i play something more calm and chill.
And when i want to be pumped up for action,i go with something louder and bumpy.
