Well, unfortunate as it might sound, there's enough precedent of things like that happening in this community that I really don't blame Cage for preempting it by putting a warning on it.Jaxxoon R wrote:Yes, people should indeed respect this. However, the way that your post makes it look like you're suggesting that I would ever not respect such a request makes me very sad. Have some faith, Weasel, have some faith.

Re: The WIP Thread
My Doomvengers Dev update post got a little out of hand, but there you are. Turns out I had a lot to say. Also, happier than I should be that Steam Broadcasting works with me running Doomvengers via ZDL.
Re: The WIP Thread
Working on an area in my new map. This would look alot better if I knew how to draw shadows.

Re: The WIP Thread
this is a terrible idea, but:
fake it with substractive dynamic lights?
fake it with substractive dynamic lights?
Re: The WIP Thread
I would, except it'd look really bad. I've tried it out before.

Re: The WIP Thread
Subtractive Dynamic Lights for shadowing only works fine for actors, not for enviroment since it makes the shape of things too blurry.
Sector based is the way bruh, fake stencil shadows was always the method mappers used to reach the effect.

I'd draw fake stencil shadows, but I don't know how to actually draw them.Zanieon wrote:Subtractive Dynamic Lights for shadowing only works fine for actors, not for enviroment since it makes the shape of things too blurry.

It seems you are diving without any scuba gears nor items. Considering vanilla doom didn't had a scuba gear, if your mod doesn't have it, you are doomed.TheBadHustlex wrote:Ever wanted to dive in doom?
EDIT: i know that blue thing on the upper left shows the air you're holding, but it'll not hold so far without gears.
