Ooh, I loved OEO. Nice work.
Say, if you could make those one-handed, we can have a real mutant HUD sprite! :D

Didn't the mutants fire from a weapon embedded in their chest (i.e. their hands were not on the weapon)?

I think they had a third hand sticking out of their chest, but more or less.

I haven't played vanilla wolf3d in a while, but they have a third hand coming out of their chest in every mod I've played.

That rifle guy is awesome! Do you think you can make rotations for the firing frames?

Heh, I've just looked at the vanilla mutant sprites and... yeah, it probably is a hand. I've always thought the grey area below the gun was a magazine or something. I suppose a hand kind of maybe makes more sense (in a world where the Nazis employed grey skinned, purple blooded mutants to do their evil bidding at least). I'm not quite sure about the uber mutant though. Clearly he has more arms than normal but his gun does seem to be embedded in his chest.

Oh, looks like kind of an older thread -- sorry -- but in case anyone reads this and is interested: I'm on the lookout for (and if not the eventual creation of) high-resolution adaptations of the original PC version Wolf3D weapons, ie the knife, pistol, machine gun, and chaingun, AS THEY WERE, not adapted to look more like real life weapons. I understand MAC versions, and user-crafted versions SIMILAR to them exist, but what I'd like to see and use for my project are weapon sprites which retain the look and feel of the originals, simply higher resolution.

It looks like Imageshack is to blame.

If you still see this post, you might like >these< sprites.
Also, check out >this< mod that upgrades the graphics of the original games. (totally "not" self promoting my mod ;D)

My browser tells me some images were uploaded to imgur.com and others to imageshack. Seems like all images on imageshak were lost.

Yeah, sorry about that. :(
I might be able to rehost them, though some sprites are lost for good due to a hard drive crash.

Lesson learned: Always backup your stuff.
