Switching to the spells has proven to be a cumbersome task as it's not really a weapon. We felt it was better to just implement a system where you can use spells from a hotbar and utilize those via shortcut keys. Also it's extremely inconvenient to switch to a spellbook.atar wrote:Happy new year all! Excellent job! Is it possible to have the spell book (raise , chaos, defile, charm) again? That will be excellent!
Our method is a lot faster, a lot easier, and allows you to continue attacking at the same time while casting spells.
Considering the amount of submitting I've been doing to ZDoom in the hopes I can use them immediately, yeah you could say so.TheBadHustlex wrote:This was probably a lot of work. But it was definitly worth it.

More than most think, too.
Go to Options, and under Extra Monsters, there's Joke.king karl wrote:no i didnt know such a thing existed, how do i turn joke mode on?

When I start the game the HUD is changed and so are the weapons on the ground, but everything else is vanilla. What's going wrong?
Re: ÆoD (6.06.01 (04-20-15))
Never mind, I'm an idiot. I needed the other file too.
EDIT: Great, now I get this error and the game won't run at all:
EDIT EDIT: Updated my gzDoom and now it works. D'oh.

Re: ÆoD (6.06.01 (04-20-15))
okay, sorry if it's meaningless, but i think the newest aeod doesn't play some sounds such as footsteps, most of explosions and being gibbed and some of them are got cut off. and i saw robot kind of enemies are throwing fleshes and guts when they explodes too.
what is this problem? is it the gzdoom problem or the mod problem? i've downloaded the main and coding package at the first page, and my gzdoom version is 1.8. 10-1226-gf78c336.
EDIT: never mind, after resetting somethings at game options explosion and gibbing sounds plays now.
...but still footstep sounds doesn't play and robot like enemies throwing gibs when explodes still remains...

Are you running with the Effects Choker? It's designed to make them explode so it doesn't leave corpses lying around.

I'm getting a bunch of glitches, such as death animations & barrel explosions freezing in mid-animation. I would like to switch back to version 6.02, but I can't find a download link anywhere. Can someone help me out here?

Does anyone know if there is a monsters only version of this mod somewhere?

Re: ÆoD (6.06.01 (04-20-15))
What version of (G)Zdoom are you running? I will say this: anything you may have downloaded within January may have had game breaking bugs because of the giant code refactoring being done on ZDoom. This also affected GZDoom itself.Descentfreak wrote:I'm getting a bunch of glitches, such as death animations & barrel explosions freezing in mid-animation. Maybe something like a "vanilla weapons"-mode?

Well, I don't care about using it with vanilla weapons, I want to use other weapon mods. (Without a billion weapons)

Re: ÆoD (6.06.01 (04-20-15))
Sorry. No Vanilla weapons / other mod compatibility mode.
The reason is simple: It'd require a ton of work to clean the code to remove all traces of the AEoD weapons and ammo, and that'd mean maintaining two versions of the mod. One gigantic mod is enough
