I don't see how this thread is anti-C++...cambertian wrote:Man, it seems like no matter what language I choose, people complain.
I remember taking all of the Java classes available at my high school and becoming an ace at it. Then I stepped into a programming thread on another forum and... Well, C++ was the winner there (if we're not counting scripting languages like Python.)
Now I'm in college taking C++ for game dev, and the thread here seems anti-C++.
I don't know what to think anymore other than "okay then."

This is a laugh-riot when you think about it - Java has probably had the most security updates of any piece of software I've ever seen, most of them due to zero-day exploits and other major breaches. It's the only multi-billion-dollar platform I've ever seen that experts have said "UNINSTALL THIS NOW, IT IS TOO RISKY."sonic_HD87 wrote:It's main strenght is security, since it was built with that in mind.MetroidJunkie wrote:Isn't Java's only real strength its simplicity?
